i have finished the three pieces for my first ever college drawing class!!!! I’m proud of how the first two came out but not exactly the last one…but i got a lot of good critiques about my pieces. i’ve grown a lot in this class. i wanna give the little jester kid a name…

BEHOLD! the ppg and rrb in my art style. i stole butch’s outfit directly from the Gorillaz post Cartoon Network made a couple years back. i just loved the fit so much so i took massive inspo from it

i also projected some of my hc onto them. most specifically buttercup is a trans man and uses he/him. but also butch is nonbinary and uses they/them

i am coming up on the end of my drawing 2 class. this project is my second to last one. the drawing features Tereri, @thespacegirl347’s hellaverse oc. she let me make this fake movie/musical poster thing. i want to make an animated musical featuring tereri really bad because i love her so much

First concept art for Juxtapose!!! presenting Jux and Tiva

i haven’t really practiced it, but i wanna try for a more comic book style. i definitely want more detail and realism but, alas, this is the best of my ability + the energy i have to put into a piece

JUXTAPOSE

(this is a rough draft and subject to change)

juxtapose is an idea for an animated show i have. it’ll follow a group of college age students who started a band together.

Jux recently aged out of the adoption system and now finds themself adopted by a band of miscreants. together they’re gonna fight off various supernatural creatures and also the apocalypse

i want the show to be a horror “musical” show. musical in that there’s a lot of music, but the music itself will be pop-punk/grunge/indie rock. think musicians like Mommy Long Legs, Greenday, MCR, ya know. the classics.

our cast of characters:

Jux They/Them- a vampire and the Inciting Incident. they’re unhinged, and angsty, and very much the baby of the group. everything they say is dripping with sarcasm (not a sincere bone in their body). they also unironically say “bite me” all the time because they think it’s a funniest thing. they like singing and are trying their best to learn guitar

Tiva They/Them- the front runner of Kill Doll Kill as lead guitarist, lyricist, and lead singer. they’re very enthusiastic about music, even majoring in it at (College Name Here). picture, if you will, a wild college student, energetic and fun, yet the biggest stoner you’ll ever meet. they are also italian and have a noticeable accent

Jezebelle She/Her- take tiva’s energy and then crank it up 110%. she’s the bassist and can and will throw in an improvised bass solo into the middle of a song. she likes working on cars (and totally doesn’t illegally street race, who are you a cop?). she’s an adrenaline junkie, essentially

Dustin He/They- dustin is one of those people who are the smartest people you know but the dumbest of asses at the same time. he plays the keyboard, has been classically trained in piano since he was five, can speak multiple languages, and is a math major. he plans on being a math professor. he is also the eepiest man you will ever meet

Sylvester “Skull” He/It- he’s the quietest of the group despite being the drummer. he plays loud for sure, but he’s the soft spoken lover of the group. he’s a cuddle bug, and loves nature, and knows where to bury a body in the woods. he’s considering whether or not to go to trade school for culinary arts or just keep on keeping on with his butcher shop. he cooks the best food of the band

Lilith She/They- the manager of the group. she coordinates appearances, merch, advertising. of course, the group is still pretty underground, but she takes her job very seriously. she takes no shit form anyone in the group because if she did, she actually might kill one of them. she’s fun once you get to know her

the actual character art will come soon!!! (it’s a matter of me designing them as well. i know what they’ll look like in my head but not actually)
