Second post about Hungary. This time, pics from Balatonfüred.
Some pics from Budapest. This is the first in a series of two posts about Hungary. Beautiful land and, above all, wonderful people. Szeretlek, Magyarország.
Some light painting work. No Photoshop, just a dark room, a flash, some led lamps and my Nikon.
2016 has gone, and it took some of my idols with it. I’ll never tire of listening to this song...
Steven Stahlberg. No better way to start the new year than with a page dedicated to the master Steven Stahlberg.

And to have a good time in this Sunday morning, I propose you this beautiful song from Bryan Art. I knew of Bryan through ccmixter, where you can hear a nice a capella version of the same song. Enjoy.
Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This is a part of a class assignment from my character design course. I wanted to depict the four horsemen in a modern context, each with a modern horse.
Although it may seem otherwise, the 3D character used in all the four pictures is the same. Only his dress and hairstyle change. The environments required many hours scouting the internet for assets properly licensed plus a subsequent adaptation work in terms of textures, materials and -in some cases- geometry as well.
Made with 3DS Max, Autodesk Character Generator and Mental Ray.
Sources of inspiration: Marco Patrito. Today, I start a new section in my blog to pay homage to all masters inspiring me in my CG learning. A page will be dedicated to each of them. This week, the great Italian master Marco Patrito.

Guiomar, demon slayer. This character comes from a story I wrote last year. In middle ages, she was unfairly forced to descend to hell because an evil deal made by his father. Eight hundred years later, she escaped with the sole idea of finding a way to redeem her soul and punish Candahar, the demon responsible for her torture. In the pics: (1) Guiomar after riding a bike straight into the hotel where Candahar has his headquarters; (2) Candahar, formerly an angel.
Hotel model from 3dmodelfree.com. Motor bike model from cadnav.com. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see the author names to credit them here.
A sketch I made to practice my drawing skills a bit. Enjoy it with Mr Kris and his Skypilots music.
A day in the life of a professor. Another sample of the works produced for my Character Design Course last semester. This time, the idea was depicting a modern heroine with no super powers or magic other than her talent to become a reputed professor. A talk at TED, intense participation in a debate, a work dinner with some colleagues and, finally, driving home to fall asleep on her sofa.
I experimented with subsurface scattering materials in Mental Ray to achieve a skin as realistic as possible. Sofa model by TRrend. Chair model by erikasvreal. The TED pic serving as a background was downloaded from Healthy Simulation.
Cambores back in Earth. This is one of the works I did during a Character Design course at Open University of Catalonia. She is Cambores, a demon under planet Venus. Having the opportunity to come back to Earth, she got a job and went shopping to find nice art for her flat, Of course, everything Cambores does neatly fits her nature...
I’ve composed the rendered 3D character over a stage pic by Erlin Vermeulen and an art gallery pic by Codecandles.
As promised, here you have Love is, composed and interpreted by snowflake with arrangements from unreal_dm. Enjoy it. More beautiful songs at ccmixter.
Teapot in love. Potty is a teapot dreaming of an impossible love with a pressure cooker. I was just playing around with photometric lights in 3DS Max. The beautiful music comes from the hand of unreal_dm and snowflake. I shall post the whole song later on, but I wholeheartedly recommend checking out the work of those and other excellent musicians at ccmixter.
Some pics from Santiago de Compostela
Walking cycle animation made with CAT in 3ds Max. She’s Arissa, a Mixamo character marching at pasodoble rythm, as in one of the many moors and christians parades celebrated in Eastern Spain. Music: Paquito Chocolatero composed by Cocentaina and played by Orquesta Municipal de Villena.
Some pics from Sintra, a fairy tale land in Portugal.
