Expired film is like oxygen. I can't explain why I love it so much. As the AI stuff accelerates and everyone gets better and better at editing, the mistakes and degradation feels better and better.
Those are good things these days. Too bad it's gonna run out one day. Time to hoard and acquire.

It's really quite strange to me.
I never expected to end up here, and be in the middle of all this popular style stuff. Now I'm here, and I'm happy it happened as such. Weird, wild and wonderful, I guess.

Corn for Two
It was a nice time this summer. I went up to visit a friend that I had been planning to see for months.
When you get older, the time between visits tends to grow more and more. Each time you visit, it can be different. I feel there are times when people are just ticking off a box and then there are times when people are there because they genuinely enjoy the company.
No matter how much time lies between, I always look for the latter in my friends and acquaintances. That was an excellent night and there were memories I'll have for the rest of my life.
I'll need to get back up there sometime, but dang... probably not while it's so cold outside. I guess we'll see, though.

I have been experimenting with cinefluorography film. Ended up with some 80 rolls of it. It's been quite the run. I've still got about 60 rolls left.
Frankly, it's been one of the most interesting and fun things I've done in film art. Having that amount of weird has let me get into it in a way that I might not with other one off expired films. It's some 44 years expired now, and it is beginning to exhibit strong vinegar syndrome. Sometimes, the fixer has rough reactions with it. Sometimes, I'm a little careless with it on purpose. Sometimes it's pre-fogged for whatever reason.
So it goes. Life was lived, and it does a great job capturing these spaces as I want to see them and have them be seen.
