Cameron Cameron Cameron Cameron Cameron Cameron Cameron I cannot STRESS THIS ENOUGH CAMERON <3333333333333. I don't really talk about her but I love her so so much. I love the way her morality drives her and how she always serves as a point for conflict because she cares about what she does and upholding her morals !! The og ducklings are arguing all the time, and her persistence is usually the catalyst for this- you're always either for or against Cameron. I find the way she cares for people so fun and the way that she's willing to try but always ready to push away too SO REAL. She wants things to work but if they aren't she gets to the bottom of it or she gets herself out of it. Even outside of romance she cares so deeply for those around her (see: foreman, the patients) and she's just !!!!!! She's extremely fun as a fellow and it's so great to see her happy and in her element in the ER in seasons 4 and 5. Cameron leaving was quite possibly the saddest moment in MY LIFE (silly) but. you get what I mean. I love her so and I don't think I say that nearly enough.
#2 is Kutner because he speaks to me on a spiritual level (there is more to this I prommy but this is about CAMERON because I LOVE HER). but I fear he will never reach the levels of love in my heart that I have for Cameron.
There areeeeeee 2 answers for this. Plot wise? Both sides now. 100%. The entire end of season 5 spiral arc was so well done and I think I just enjoyed watching House go a bit crazy. But the absolute fucking rug pull that was the end of that ep. augfguhhhhhhhhh. I mean there was camchase wedding too which was great but getting to see more amber throughout that arc and then finally believing house had gotten better, only to realise he's been getting worse the entire time....... I love that that also conveyed that love really isn't the answer. House wasn't just gonna get clean over one person taking his meds away from him forcefully even after he insults them. Cuddy wouldn't take that bs after he said that shit about her skills as a mother (I don't remember the exact words please don't kill me with stones), but House wanted her to !! he even expected it !! His mind conjured it because it thought that was a real probability. I liked that in ended in him actually going to rehab, and I like that his improvement didn't revolve around his love for one person. I'm also a sucker for plot twists and being tricked by a story.
Case wise? Sleeping dogs lie. 1 billion percent. Toxic 'love' that makes you believe that one of the girls is an ass for leaving the other girl but actually reveals that the other girl is doing all this shit to make her stay. even when she knows the first girl is planning on leaving her. she GIVES UP PART OF HER LIVER so the other girl feels obligated to stay. also that mfer had the PLAGUE by FAR one of the biggest plot twists of the century. Also crazy as hell. bringing diseases out from the 14th century for this. It's also one of the few diseases I had heard of beforehand so that was fun. a doc explanation I could actually partially follow along with.
I know I know crazy as hell. The one ship I've actually posted art for is my fav. You would never guess. I like the way they contrast eachother !! Thirteen appears to be lax about her identity and position (though the end of 97 seconds proves she's a fake ass idgafer- though who wouldn't be with a dead patient), whereas Amber is driven from day one. Amber's cutthroatness in general is so real to me and the way both of their personas are inherently created to shove people away from them is so !! Thirteen tells you nothing about herself so you feel like you barely know her, it takes time to figure out what her deal is- her mystery pushes people away. Amber's 'selfishness' and determination to put herself and her position first quite obviously.... pushes people away. It's fun. Seeing how they both push and pull at people is fun. Imagining them pushing and pulling at eachother is fun.
....I also really like the enemies to lovers trope. I think when done right it's really fun to see two people scratch at eachother and how that can morph into understanding and eventually love. Because really, the obsession and vitriol created by hate is really another form of love, is it not? In some ways. in other hate's just hate.
Honourary Hilson mention. It's a kind of close second I suppose. Oh and Camchase/ Chameron at third probably. More for my girl cameron because she is my pookie wookie and I love her forever but I think I just like the concept of them being happy together. With therapy and regaining trust I feel like it'd be fascinating to watch them fall back into the orbit of eachother's lives.
FAVOURITE DYNAMIC BETWEEN CHARACTERS:
Because I am greedy and indecisive I am furthering my Voltner and Forecam (PLATONIC) agendas here.
Not only is Euphoria MASSIVE for Foreman and Cameron stocks (foreman assigning cameron as his medical proxy and trusting her, cameron trying to get him to apologise, the arc being Foreman learning to let others in and stop acting like the human connections he makes don't matter) but just in general the way they bounce off eachother is fun. I like !! watching two strong headed people !! Battle it out on morality and diagnostics !! The way both of their specific mixes of morality and stubbornness fit together in some aspects and clash in others is generally really fun to me (cameron with her FULL ON morality and empathy in most scenarios vs foreman's 70/30 approach. His inherent conservatism and housian cynicism founds the 30%. BUT both him and cameron are the most likely to not do something if they believe it's wrong. unlike chase.) Every time I see them on screen together arguing about something (or foreman ranting to the og3 abt the new fellows) it's ! fun ! Seasons 1, 2 and 3 put a lot into Foreman and Cameron's characters, so seeing that effort pay off in the ways that they interact with eachother is also. really fun. In short I'm invested in them both because I'm invested in them as individuals and I'm invested in the way they bounce off eachother
Voltner gets a shorter paragraph but it's another mix of 'I like the way they contrast' and 'they're favs individually'. Amber should have a close friendship with a dumbass man. She is more than her 'bitchiness', and I feel like having someone like that would have been great for Kutner too. Because she really does prioritise the people she cares for. Idk. CHARACTER I DO NOT TALK ABOUT ENOUGH:
I. That's it. Her insistence on the truth seems dumb until you realise it's the basic duty of a doctor. In the lying and malpractice show she was an example of why lying and malpractice aren't the only way to do things !!!! I also just like the way she was unapologetically weird. She is strange AND she is also one of the smartest girls you meet and she will not lie to you. The patients are not mindless idiots.. they're people. Also her solving the pox was really fun. She may or may not have ben my fav thing about s7 tbh.
twooooooooooooo. 2. dos. House Wilson roomate arc, Studdy, sleeping dogs never lie and euphoria, generally being the season where the show figured out wtf it was doing. I just. Loooooooooots to love about season 2. It's the most comfortable. OH AND IT HAS NO REASON. NO REASON GLAZE FOREVER. crazy ass mindfuck of an episode.
Headcanon that I stole from 5 billion others: I think Kutner would be a great DM.
Personal addition: I think House would be a horrible DM. If he got into that type of thing. His quests would be the most annoying bullshit always designed to piss off at least one person. You have a personal issue? It will manifest one way or another in his fuckass campaign. He also barely puts effort into the fantasy of it. this is just another excuse for torture.
