BETTER THAN YOUR FAT PAYCHECK

The fashion and arts industry, they say, has no sympathy. Magazines will not book you to shoot their editorials/advertorials and whatnot because of your heart warming life story. Clients will not book you because your life is an inspiration to all struggling artists. You’ll be hired because your work screams and the sound reached their ears.

Rejection is pretty normal. You’re abnormal if you have not been rejected at least once in your life. Rejection helps you become a better artist. It’s ok to be rejected it’s a reminder that you’re not perfect.

Before I even learned about keeping a “PRAISE FILE”, I would keep all my features from blogs or online magazines and some nice emails from models/celebrities that I have worked before in a folder. I call it “better than your fat paycheck folder ”, this is my self-esteem booster. When I feel discouraged for not getting the project because I lack resources or my style is not what they’re looking for I would check this folder or visit the sites of the blogs where I got featured.

Always remember that nobody is perfect! "No one is perfectly good, no one is perfectly bad."
