Visual Library Building #1 Rocking out.
In one of Feng Zhu's youtube videos, he mentions that every week his students are tasked a visual library building exercise to do sketches and studies of one particular object or theme. This could be a certain architectural style, engines or a certain type of animal. Basic stuff, but important in creating believable designs later down the road.
So what I propose is every week or so, we can do some visual library building on this blog here.
A week or so after the topic has been posted, just post up a bunch of sketches and studies of the particular subject and that's it!
To start us of, lets do something straight forward but something that's actually quite common in a lot of settings. Rocks, and more specifically various landscape features that contain rocks.
This includes different types of cliffs, canyons, mountains and rocks in rivers, how snow settles on these various environments etc.
Have fun, see you next week!
