#2, Brute?
I made the ugliest noise.
My submission for my Advanced Character Animation. The sound clip is from Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back.
I wanna see art!!
reblog if you have an art blog!! or an art tutorials blog!! I will follow you and look at your stuff!!
Been working with Zbrush on this since last night. It’s based on a throwaway sketch I did a few days ago.
One of the characters for the game I am working on for university. I am the character designer. The characters are based on giant move monsters, like Godzilla, or King Kong.
This was me doing the first example of the Godzilla sculpt and texture. It was sculpted in zBrush, and then textured and rendered in Quixel.
Day 2 of my draw everyday new years resolution. This time I decided to draw something from a game I played years ago, and still have in a special place in my heart: Metroid Prime. Specifically, this is an adult Sheegoth, an enemy and boss from the game.
One of my new years resolutions is to draw something every day. Last night I drew a warrior from the game Rogue Legacy, which I have been playing for the last week or so, and been really enjoying it.
How my two 3D projects have turned out for Uni. I’m still trying to come up with interesting renders for the ogre hear, and I need to think of four for the tower too. And I’m still rendering out the animated sequence for the tower, but the ogre heads one is done. I am really happy with the ogre, but my tower has low res textures for the terrain, and I left the model of the tower too late, so I had to paint on all the windows and doors instead of modelling them.
I would say despite everything I can see wrong with them, they have been worth the three months of stress.
A test render with all the settings turned up. It took 7 fucking hours to do. I think there is a level of trade off somewhere so it won’t take a 7 hours for a 720p frame.
Anyway, the main mesh was started in zBrush, retopologised in Maya, then painted and detailed in zBrush. I finally did the render in 3DS Max mental ray.
Another two pictures of my Ogre sculpt. I think that’s me almost ready to start texturing him.
This is the bust I’m sculpting for my module. It’s based on these drawings. I’m quite happy with it, but I still need to work on detailing the horns and tusks, and then texturing it all.
The model sheet for the centre piece of my environment. It is based on a painting I did back in July (no idea why I didn't share it. Looking back, it isn't a bad piece, but I could probably do a lot better now, especially, since I have refined the idea a bit.) I'm going to be modelling it in 3D for university, then I’ll upload it here for you guys to see. I am liking how I am improving, especially now I'm looking at how I'm doing so.
The full model sheet for my Ogre. I still need to work out textures for him, but I guess I can do that between modelling sessions. Looking back from this to previous works, I can see my improvement in my line-work, even in 6 months. And I've been sat thinking that I haven’t practised enough to improve.
REBLOG IF YOU'RE AN ARTIST!!!
Professional or not, no matter what art style, I wanna see how many artists are out there.
Being an artist doesn’t mean you are restricted to drawing, painting, and sculpting!
If you can write, sing, dance, or take photos, you are an artist! If you are good at math, science, language arts, or putting things together, you are an artist!
Whatever it is, if you enjoy it, it is your medium! You are an artist in that field!
Part of the model sheet for my organic model for 3D Sculpting. I like how it’s turned out, and I can’t wait to get started on it.
Some sketches of my cleric for a Dungeons and Dragons game with the bx system. Her name is Morag, she's 19, and a cleric from The Monestary. She is a worshipper of The Gygax, and carrys the symbol of her order on her belt, and the head of her mace is the same symbol. She isn't that bright, getting easily flustered in stressful situations. This happened once in a fight and she killed a hobgoblin with a lit torch. Her constant companion is the highlander Orwell, from A Barbarian Village Up North (I'll need to post some drawings of him).
