I am curious how eggman threatens mimic with metal sonic, and before all the mimic and whisper arc neo metal sonic shows how he is able to shapeshift into eggman, do you think this has some correlation or is it just coincidence?

I mean, we know eggman and mimic needed to be alone, but what did eggman do to mimic to convince him to help kill his team?

I mean, mimic saw the horrors of the war, probably saw a lot of people die, and knew eggman was behind all of this, so maybe this is just a coincidence

I genuinely don't think Mimic is a full psychopath like people tell me he is, but more a person that doesn't like to admit something was out of his hands, he doesn't want to admit he regrets betraying his team, he pretends that was his plan all the time, he doesn't want to admit he had a fear of eggman and what he was capable, he just says he prefers not go be on his radar, he doesn't wants to accept he has a problem, he transforms his problems into his personality

And since he is an actor, he is capable of making others think he is being serious, but every time he feels the urge to hold his emotions, he just holds his hands to a way to calm himself

He could've easily been forgotten, if it wasn't his fear of not having the freedom he always wanted that he pretends everything he did, he did it because he wanted to, and not because he was threatened into doing it
