Merry Christmas, as a bit of a gift to the people who've been there, supporting me, I wanted to share some of the behind the scenes on a personal project that I've been working on.
A comprehensive website dedicated to The Terrakey, my brainchild for 17+ years.
I don't want to go into too much detail, as a lot of info is still being refined... that, and a lot of the pages are still stuffed with memes as placeholders.
I will say it's being approached with D&D in mind, since much of my inspiration came from the game, among other sources.
The process is slow going, since I'm writing and drawing all of this by myself, aside from the few times I ask for someone to review a stat block. Between commissions and my very hectic, daily life.
I just wanted to say thank you for being there and supporting me.
The horror that someone, somewhere, is going to crawl out of the woodworks and say "UMMMM that looks like AI" because the perspective is off in a piece I'm already struggling with.

instantly enamoured with this bag so decided to make a similar one! i thought the drawstring looked a litlte like barbels, and so I modeled mine loosely on a redtail catfish!
I'd meant to make the mouth opening a little larger than it turned out, but I can still fit my whole forearm in there so I'm pleased.
accidentally said "invasive thoughts" instead of "intrusive thoughts" today and actually I think I'm onto something. this thought does not belong here and it is harming the local ecosystem
This is Haolong dongi, a new species of iguanodontian ornithopod found covered in what is basically,,, hedgehog quills??
The fossil is a stunningly preserved skeleton from China that includes evidence of hard armour scales on the tail (like in the much smaller Kulindadromeus), and a coat of spines along its neck and back! The name appropriately means "spiky dragon".
Not only is a spiny iguanodont wild on its own (this individual is over 2 metres long and is a juvenile, other ornithopods with quill-like structures are much smaller), these spines also appear to be an entirely new skin structure? They're apparently not feathers or scales, but a secret third thing.
So my exploits in making a custom texture pack have been going pretty alright, I made a test fit of a custom logo, a panorama using my test world. And rendered a custom font for enchanting so I can read the enchantments. (its gibberish)
But paintings..... paintings continue to mock me.

I've determined I'm not allowed to get funky with the voxels. And after jumping through no less than 50 hoops trying to find a mod, poking optifine and downloading extra crap to configure one (1) mod, I decided doing fancy crap ain't worth it and I'mma make this vanilla friendly.
(For those curious, the fossil specimens are: Psittacosaurus, Rhamphorhyncus, crinoid, Anomalocarus, Trilobite, Archeopteryx, a non-peleo accurate Pterosaur and Irritator)
For those who want the Texturepack I'm using as a base and steadily replacing as I go. It's the Quadral Pack.
You're quite on point! The matoran Alphabet inspired my Terrakey's Ter'ren alphabet which is what I rendered into pixels for the enchanting table text.

One for beating Revenant Skolas on Master Difficulty (it was a rare drop), The other for beating Atraks during Pantheon. The sword is an old favorite sword of mine from my days of Vindictus and the disk is a Kanoka Disk.
