You know what? It's the year of the horse and I've hoarded these long enough 🐎
I wanted to illustrate the steeds of some of my Llehian characters. These are a bit outdated now; I referenced multiple real horse breeds for these (even though they are mostly based on vibes), but now I have fleshed out more what kind of culture and environment the characters and their horses come from -> what kind of horse breed or landrace would they have.
Playing the Quarry (2022) cured my massive art block by giving me feverish need to draw my characters in the game's 80's outfits (plus Rhiam/Maihr in Emma's modern croptop)
Eske, Vista's lover. She likes her own peace and quiet and hasn't wanted to settle down to live in the same village as them, but visits Vista regularly.
I took part in my first LARP game last weekend! It was a murder mystery set in a noble family's villa in 1912. I played the part of a maid named Valentina ❤
Three of the main characters of Llehia: Kasimira, Vista, and Malla.
These three end up working together to pursue riders who have captured Vista's two partners, stolen Kasimira’s horse, and are heading towards Malla’s home city.
Little more details under cut:
Kasimira | 28 | from Tleyalaeni (Tleyanor)
The middle child of a relatively wealthy family in her village. Reserved and bitter after everything that happened between her and her closest friend. The only one in her living family with the gift of spellcasting.
Her village is too small to have official temples or priesthoods, but as one of the three mages of the village, she takes part in most rites. Mostly carries emblems of birds, but their worship is mingled with Ever-Weald. Unlike many others in her village, she has visited the northern shores of Tleyanor from where she got her horse Storm’s-Eye, and so feels more reverence than other locals towards the horse faced Ever-Sea aspect of the god Ever.
Vista | ??? | from ???
Remembers near nothing of their past. Something had badly mauled them, when hunters from Tleyalaeni found them. With nothing to return to, Vista stayed in their village. They have a natural aptitude to spellcasting, and they were a student of a local mage before his passing during plague.
Inherited their teacher-father figure’s position in local rites. Uses a deer headdress during rituals. Hesitant to ask gods about their past.
Missing their left eye. Their native tongue is Llehian, but they have become fairly fluent in local Amyrian.
Malla | 26 | from Sadankieli (Amyr)
Oldest child of a prominent family — a fact she doesn’t bring up too much. Her childhood was fairly sheltered, but after her father’s death, it’s starting to feel like her life and family are slowly falling apart. She has left home to find answers to troubling questions that have emerged from omens of birds and dreams of her sister.
She is an inevin, a devotee of Ever-Weald and member of the Circle of Ingvar. She has been granted the rare gift of shapeshifting.
I'm just rapidfire posting all things that I've hoarded past x time because I'm too lazy to think posting timing but sorry/don't worry it won't last much longer ✌🏻🧡
Wanted to post some older character sheet commissions together as well

Younger of my childhood cats passed away this week. Tupu was living with my mom these days and he was a senior already, but still wished it didn't happen so soon after everything else that had happened. I've been mournful thinking about how now there's only me and my mom left of the family of five we had sixteen years ago.
Tupu took a lot of space and attention, but he was also always just a baby boy ❤ He crawled to bed with you and kept grapping your arm if you didn't give him enough pets before going to sleep. Now he can sleep without pain and we made sure he got a lot of pets until the end.
