Konstfacks Vårutställning 2013
Experiment #13 started. The idea is to see if I can make the mushroom spread over several pieces, "from tube to tube". If this is successful, the next step is to make a more advance form.
The samples that was taken from a previos cultivation was mixed with damp toilet tissue to be put into a new substrate.
A sample was taken from a previous experiment to give life to a new one.
Inspiration from ceramic artist Mary Neeson. The way the light shine through and get transformed by the porcelain is beautiful. The soothing light diffusion is very similar to the light that passes through the mushroom. (Compare earlier images)
The dry substrate got water. The idea is to see if the mushroom come alive and start to grow again.
Zoom into the cave
The spawn show a deep orangey/red color when shine through by a neutral light source. This is definitely an interesting quality worth to experiment more with. As a lampshade it could spread a cosy feeling for the room.
Why is the one that get wat from a tank not showing progress?
