The funniest part of DS9's Civil Defense is that there were so many pre-recorded messages. Like Dukat thought a slave revolt was so likely he took the time to pre-record a bunch of messages about it. But better than that is Legate Kell thought Dukat losing control of the station and trying to flee was so likely that he took the time to record a message telling Dukat to stop being a coward.

Just realized that the reason I love making friends on tumblr is because it’s exactly how you make friends on the playground as a six year old. No, I don’t know their name but they love mermaids too and built this awesome sand castle. No, I don’t know their age but their imaginary cheetah is friends with mine. You like this show? You like this character?? You can sing the theme song really loud??? Here is a flower crown. Here is a juice box. You can share my time and I might never see you again but part of you stays in my soul forever. In my mind we’re still on the swing set and the sky is blue and nothing will ever be wrong again.

This includes not working for free. Shift is over and work is left to do? Leave it for the next person who is paid to take care of it. Is that you and it'll sit all weekend? Well, they should hire someone else to help with the workload. They don't pay you to worry about that.

I see this with coworkers who will stay 30 min past their shift because they don't want to leave unfinished tasks for the next person. We are chronically understaffed and the employer is not inclined to change this fact if the work is still getting done and service isn't impacted.

ok sorry to double reblog BUT I just looked him up and he does these fantastic videos where he breaks down HOW he actually mimics the other artists’ styles. Like for ed Sheeran, he explains how he brings his voice forward in the mouth, while Adam Levine sings in the back of the mouth, stuff like that. What they don't tell you about writing is that as you write, you discover scenes and entire plots that you hadn't accounted for that need to be written. So you can spend two hours writing and editing only to realise you're further away from the finish line than you thought you were when you started
