New abstract expressionism series from Portland, Oregon artist James Moore explores consciousness and the conceptual mind. The Human Concept series is influenced by the research of Donald Hoffman and others who are mapping the way we conceptualize. Unique sculptures were created for each piece and light was cast onto the 3D images to cast shadows onto the painting surface. The work was composed by adjusting the light and shadow and then painting it into place. The dynamic placement of the lines and shadow create depth and multiple layers convey the idea that past, present and future are all one.  M8re.art
