I know this has definitely been asked and discussed before, but what's the general consensus regarding the series timeline with Eugene, Lance, and Stalyan? The beginning part makes sense, Lance and Eugene leave their orphanage sometime in their childhood/early teens, and eventually are recruited by the Baron. Some time after this, Eugene and Stalyan start dating.

It's after that where things get confusing.

Eugene and Lance keep doing jobs for the Baron, and are double crossed during the robbery where they robbed Arianna.

Eugene leaves Stalyan at the altar, which seems to prompt the Baron to put him on his shit-list

Eugene and Lance are separated for 8 years, with Lance mostly being in jail during that time.

Doing the math, with Eugene being roughly 23-24 during The Return of Strongbow, this would mean he and Lance were somewhere around 15-16 when they split. But Lance knows about the Stalyan situation and is presumably also on said shit-list for being Eugene's buddy?

Did the Baron double cross them because Eugene left Stalyan? Did Eugene leave Stalyan after the double cross? Were these two teenagers seriously about to get married at the ripe age of 16???

Is there an agreed upon timeline, or is that just something everyone has chosen to rework/ignore?

Flynnposter...sorta solves this. baron says something about how the crown was meant to be a betrothal gift for Stalyan or something

But then what about Lance 😭 Did this man find his way to Corona after 8 years, see Eugene with Rapunzel, and just not question it? Cause also, if he was in prison up until shortly before his debut, why was he also wanted by the Baron?

Also, the tiara being a wedding gift for Stalyan does not look favorably on Eugene. Implies their wedding was supposed to be some time after the movie

You're probably right! For age 9, I used the rough shape from the illustrations I used to see all the time of young Rapunzel

Not sure if it's official or fanart, as I've only seen the artwork online and not tied to any books or anything. But I remember seeing his artwork when I was a kid scrolling through drawings of Rapunzel on google images. For age 14, I did in fact take that from one of the illustrated books

God Gothel must have been absolute hell on Rapunzel for having acne

As @madametamma said in a comment (which actually made me think to give her acne, thank you so much), Gothel probably used it as another way to keep Rapunzel from wanting to go out.

"Oh dear, why would you want to go outside looking like that?"

We all know Gothel was no stranger to using supposed "flaws" in Rapunzel’s appearance as reasons not to leave, as well as just subtly bringing down her confidence. One can imagine how deeply insecure poor Rapunzel was during puberty thanks to Gothel.

Like, the others have the line mouths as kids

Why does Rapunzel have lips as a kid when others don't? What age do other girls get to have lips?

It's for glamor (she's the princess and we know how pretty she was as a baby/child), and because she canonically has pretty pink lips as a child in the movie.

They had a canon design to work from, which got translated over into her series design.

Those other four are meant to be read as tough/tomboyish, and not glamorous. (Yes, even Cassandra, who was quite feminine as a child, was not glamorous.)

Will you draw younger versions of the main characters like for flashbacks or in the episode when some were magically turn into kids?

Ohhhh, even if not for an episode purpose, it'd be fun to just figure out how they looked when they were younger. We have the design for Rapunzel when she was 4ish, but now I wanna figure out the rest at different points of life.
