I would like to invite everyone to the opening night on Friday, November 7, 2014. There will be a nice concert appreciating Chopin, a poetry recital and paintings. This will be a great cultural experience and I recommend it to everyone who is free and can make it to this evening.
This past Sunday, Pope Francis canonized John Paul II at St. Peter's Square in Vatican City.
John Paul II (1920-2005), born Karol Jozef Wojtyla, was brought up in a grimy industrial town in Poland and raised by his soldier father after his mother died when he was just eight. He spent his formative years living under first Nazis, then Communists (taken from CNN).
You will never be forgotten
These photos are of the portrait I painted of Blessed John Paul II for when he was beatified on Divine Mercy Sunday, May 1, 2011.
Happy Easter everyone!
I've been busy lately, but not busy enough to paint some eggs for my daughter's Easter basket. I hope everyone had a joyous and warm loving weekend!

Relaxing on the Upper East Side 75 x 55 inches
This painting was within a collection of paintings about women in Manhattan. The exhibition that featured this collection was called ‘Miasto Kobiet’ in Polish, translating to ‘Women of the City’.
If only I could relax in very much the same way she does. It is so hard to find time to even just take a moment and relax. Life is too stressful.

"Freud's Dream" 38 x 38 inches
Hello, here's another painting for you.
This wonder is influenced by Freud’s theory of dreams. He studied dreams and believed that everything that appeared in our dreams were for a reason. Because we live in a society where there are norms and rules, what comes to us in our dreams are our true desires and impulses.
At first glance, I see flames and within these flames are various figures such as angels kissing, fish, and other seemingly random aspects of the things that come to us in our dreams. This painting is particularly special to me because everyone sees different things, just as they see different things in their dreams.
This is a very unique and abstract painting that I also have for sale, decently sized at 45 x 45 inches. It's called Jordan. It's influenced by Picasso and Chagall, so even the shape and size of the painting looks very particular to what is actually there. The portrait is of an actor with many roles and thus, many faces. The model had green eyes so I used a lot of green shades as a reflection of her eyes.
This painting is called Popioly Pamieci. It's Polish for Ashes of Memory, or Ashes of Remembrance.
It was inspired from a poet, Andre Zarre, whom both the poem and painting inspires a window back to our childhood memories. There's a fine line between what's a dream or what's reality.
I thought it would be a nice thing to share while we face this cold winter here in NYC.
