Maxlie Week 2026 - Day 2: "Swap"

I interpreted this as a body swap - aka "They get Freaky Friday'd"

Charlie (in Maxwell's body) has to help Maxwell (in Charlie's body) do the trademark Charlie hairstyle. Maxwell's learning a few sobering things about being a woman - I think Charlie's just enjoying being so tall.

for the record im so SO in love with the found family going on between count bleck and his minions like it couldve been so easy to be like "oh hes just evilguy he doesnt care about them" or even be like "well after what happened with timpani he just like resolved to not care about anyone ever" but its so so ckear through like every interaction that they do care for each other like

nastasia's whole thing is basically her undying loyalty to bleck despite the fact that she maybe doesnt really want this to happen (which like. first of all are you ok) but even when she expresses that bleck says she can leave if she so desires instead of trying to force her to stay as part of the team she chooses on her own to stay and see it through

mimi is comfortable enough with bleck to shapeshift into him and hes comfortable enough to let her do that and not like. punish her for it

o'chunks refers to him as "blecky boy" which i dont think youd ever call someone you dont at least somewhat enjoy being around

the fact that nastasia is on his side as well, someone who can hypnotize and brainwash people, and dimentio was still able to betray him also shows that while bleck could have told her to brainwash mimi, o'chunks, and dimentio into loyalty, he didnt, either because he trusted them enough to not betray him or because he wanted them to have their own say in whether or not they took part in this

even dimentio in the fact that he didnt outright kill the others when he took the chaos heart and instead sent them to dimension d which is implied to be outside of the voids reach, meaning THEY WOULD ALL SURVIVE if he succeeded

THE FACT THAT THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER BROUGHT BACK THE PURE HEARTS WHEN ALL HOPE SEEMED LOST

there were so many opportunities for the writers to not do this, to make it just a group of people who were all in this for self serving reasons and who didnt care for each other, or to just make them all have been brainwashed into it, or anything, but through all of it they stuck with the found family and im honestly obsessed with it
