used a reference for everything
thinner line art (you think thats thin? go thinner….)
sketch, then do a cleaner sketch, THEN start finalizing
THUMBNAILS
color research, picking a set palette or light/dark for each work
you like that pose? redo it one more time
USE A DAMN REFERENCE
do not rely on stylization as an excuse for anatomy
draw the goddamn background you coward
just draw the hand- a bad hand is better than a hidden hand
the rule of thirds WORKS
take a considerable break between sketch and lines/paint
know that art takes longer as you get better at it
draw the seams on clothes
stop aiming for accuracy and focus on fluidity and motion, accuracy will come with practice of those two concepts
just…do the chiaroscuro. just DO IT. no excuses it always works
stop making excuses, make yourself an art schedule/set weekly(or daily) art goals and just DO IT.

A Slight Difference (BBB Ficlet)
Something a bit too long to be a drabble, but too short to be an actual fic. Implied HaliTau because I’m shipper trash like that XD -
Being the closest to the actual leader of the team, Tanah knew he had to take responsibility in how the other elementals would behave around him. What he didn’t know, was what could happen if he left them unsupervised.
The last thing that he remembered was the lightning and wind elementals getting into a disagreement over something quite unmemorable, to which he instructed both of them to make amends afterwards while he went to massage a headache out of his temple somewhere a bit quieter. The last thing that he expected was the both of them to - quite literally - fall on the opposite sides of the floor the moment he stepped back into the room, even though, for a split second, he caught them being oddly close to each other moments before their violent reactions. He slowly felt his jaw drop as he quietly scanned the both of them. Petir, known to be the second-quietest of the group with a well-known high combat skill and aggression, had his own hands buried in his face, as if in an attempt to cover up how it burned a deep scarlet that could even rival the glow of his Halilintar form. Seeing how Tanah could still easily make the shade out, however, just indicated how he was doing an awful job at it. The bright yellow cap that usually sat on his head was also pointed a bit lower than usual, in a similar fashion to another elemental he knew. Angin, on the other hand, the usually cheery and most carefree of the bunch, now had a more pinkish hue spread across his cheeks, along with an awkward grin as he tried his hardest to look in every other direction to avoid the leader’s gaze. In contrast to the other, his cap was actually a few ways from him, cast peacefully off to the side, which now exposed the wind elemental’s hair and its strangely ruffled up appearance.
The earth elemental took a moment to process everything - ignoring the fact that Angin just also happened to be tugging his blue vest upwards to conceal some suspicious looking marks on his neck which were definitely not there before - until everything finally clicked. Tanah took the brown cap off his head momentarily to run his fingers through his hair before finally breaking the silence. “I said; make up.” He sighed, a twinge of disappointment in his voice. “Not; make out.”
