My favorite episode of Doctor Who just aired, and no matter how many times Iāve seen it, I still cry. I also like theĀ fact that this adds The Doctorās speech to Amy about good things and bad things (I had it etched on a bracelet).Tony Curran was perfect as Van Gogh, and Bill Nighy is always lovely.

Finn Balor Copic marker sketch finished! I go the opposite way when I'm working with markers - I like the rough sketchy look rather than the perfect, smooth blending that I try to achieve when I paint.

I combined all of my Evan Peters AHS sketches into one poster :) Each one done in Copic marker.
I did a thing....lol. After I watched ep. 1 of American Horror Story:Cult, I was motivate to do something I've always had in the back of my mind...create some art of all of Evan Peters' characters throughout all 7 seasons. I decided to do these sketches with markers because 7 paintings would probably take me a year. I'll probably paint at least one of his characters though...most likely Mr. March, which is my favorite.

Finished a new painting that was a long time coming! A few years ago I painted this Chicago Hot Dog in watercolors, in a sketch pad, just for practice. It came out pretty good, so I added the words and made it available as a print. It's pretty popular, and people always ask me if I have one of Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. I was always intimidated to paint that because it's not much of a concrete shape, just blobs of stuff, but I finally did it and finished yesterday. So, I went to the "Supernatural Phoenix" convention this past weekend. It was my first time at an SPNCON and it was pretty awesome. I wouldn't have gone because I don't have the extra money, but I shockingly won a pair of passes on the Wednesday before the con started on Friday! The next couple of posts will be a short rundown of the high points of the past 2 days (I only went Saturday and Sunday evening to meet Misha Collins.) Yesterday I had an awesome photo op with Misha Collins, in character as Castiel. I'm surprised it came out pretty decent as it happened so fast and I didn't even have time to tell Misha what I was trying to do. I really wanted to incorporate my painting of him somehow. It just kind of came together on it's own, which is awesome. I had so much fun at SPNPHXā¬! It's such a great group of people. Since I won the tickets at the last minute, I really only made plans to interact with Misha (autograph and photo op because he's my fave actor and character on the show....and my painting of him is pretty much my favorite painting that I've done so far, so it meant a lot to me to show it to him and incorporate it into the experience.) I have to give all the SPN actors credit, because they do a lot for their fans during these weekends. They're a really great bunch of guys.
I finally finished this painting from hell. I have to stop picking pictures to paint that have an odd head angle...I have issues with that for some reason. Ack! Anyway, Elliot from Mr. Robot (Rami Malek). Love this show!ā¬ Now I can finally focus all my attention on getting ready for Phoenix Comicon, which is only a week away, ha! Auggghh!!!! :)
