There are so many different choices! But I think in the essence of how humans work, you don’t feel just one emotion when you watch somone who has become an important aspect of your daily life die right in front of you. It’s a combination of horror, shock, nausea, pain, etc… It wouldn’t be fair to just attribute one feeling to that moment. It’s every feeling associated, with grief and pain and an inconceivable horror that you just can’t pull out of, mixed into some terrible concoction that takes years to unravel (yet how funny is it that it only takes one second for it to materialize?), but I think in the moment of Reigen falling to the ground and not getting up, the emotion that would boil over all of them would still be rage, because Mob’s been building up to this moment. He saw his family dead, his parents and brother dead, his Body Improvement Club threatened, his friends harmed, and the only thing that has remained his rock is Reigen, who managed to keep him from, ah, as the kids say it, “going apeshit”. And when he wakes up, everything is okay, his family is okay, his friends are okay, everything’s okay, Mob, we just have to lecture this man like we’ve done every other man. Right, this man that has caused everything, and had it not been for Shou’s actions, his family would actually be dead. But then he blinks, and Reigen’s not moving, (oh god why isn’t he moving?), and I think it would all snap for him.
So… ah, yeah. Rage. Still rage. Just this time… maybe not as constrained. Granted, I don’t think in his fit of rage he fully comprehends that Reigen’s dead. It’s more of a bodily reaction than his brain fully connecting the dots, because it takes time for the brain to think it’s safe enough to pull away from the numbness it cocoons itself in. When it does though… I think that’s when we don’t see ???% anymore, but just variants of 100%s from Mob. There we’ll see the fits of pain, of grief, of regret.
