@bosstoaster I’m back, and I brought full dark Allura and her faithful black paladin with me. To be a truly evil person in the Voltron universe, one must wear or swear allegiance to someone who wears shades of purple. Obviously. The evil Galra say so.

And, Season 2 spoilers, I’m hoping that moment at the end means Allura has magic and we’re destined for episodes of Allura mastering her magic and getting to leave the castle more often to use it. So, you know, had to draw a touch of that in there.

EDIT: And there’s Shiro’s lovely scar at last. I take comfort in knowing that the animation team also forgets it sometimes.

So I was going to draw evil Allura fanart after reading that thought @bosstoaster wrote about evil Allura and her faithful black paladin. But what actually ended up happening was sketches of hairstyles, expressions, and AUs for Allura. An evil Allura ended up there, but so did Awkward Face Plus Flowers Allura, Look At My Pigtails and Piercings Allura, I Paint Pink Not Tragedies Allura, and On a Scale of 1 to Azula How Well Do You Handle Becoming the Fire Lord Allura. And then, you know, I threw in a basic font cause I’m super f a n c y. Maybe I’ll draw full scale evil Allura later.

Drew a character concept sheet for my original character Amaya as an assignment in my digital art class. Please excuse my poorly written kanji. My Japanese education is only just beginning (even though I’ve been taking Japanese for two and a half years).

I love her to bits. She’s evolved in drastic and not-so-drastic ways since I designed her six-ish years ago, but I like to think it’s all been for the better.

I drew an exaggerated portrait of my two cats for an art assignment! Cleo, named after Queen Cleopatra, is always queen to me and - though he doesn’t know it yet - is also queen to my new three legged kitten Legolas, for he is a mere peasant. Yet he always fights her for the prized countertop space.

Tried my hand at digitally painting off of a photo reference. Chris Evans felt like the right model choice for my first go at the style.

Second and Third Pictures: And this is another original character, Delaire. Normally he’s a human, but I’ve been playing with the idea of merpeople that are combined with aquatic animals people don’t typically think of. I insist on there being more seahorse merpeople.

Since this art tumblr of mine is new I thought I’d post some older stuff that I would’ve posted when I made them if I’d had a tumblr at the time. These are all sketches from my senior year of high school around two years ago. My apologies if sometimes there are shadows over the drawings.
