Hi, I was wondering how you draw elf eyebrows.
Hello!
Well I really don’t know if I draw them right but here’s what I do for Perry at least x3
First, normal eyebrow
Then I draw it longer
And dropping a bit at the end.
Then you know they’re just long lines xD (I try to make her ears follow her general expression)
In game they are much more detailed and fluffy though, it’s just how I do it x3
I am currently taking a class called “Visual Communications”, which apparently is the very first foundation class people take when they go to an art school. The purpose of this class is to train you so that you are confident with your lines and won’t need to scribble too much while sketching.
Our first week’s homework is training on hand stability. I’ve heard a lot of artists complain that they have “shaky hands” and so when they ink their drawings, it comes out crap, so I thought I’d share my homework with you guys.
Draw a line about 2 inch long, as straight as you possibly can without a ruler. Go over this line EIGHT times without making the line any thicker. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
Draw a line about half a page long, as straight as you possibly can without a ruler. Go over this line EIGHT times without making the line any thicker. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
Draw a line from one end of the page to the opposite end, as straight as you possibly can without a ruler. Go over this line EIGHT times without making the line any thicker. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
Repeat the above exercise, but with an arc, and then with a wave.
We’re supposed to do this every day before we draw as a warm-up. Basically just keep drawing lines, arcs, and waves until you fill up an entire 8.5x11 page. Use felt-tip pens like microns/multiliner/sharpie. Keep doing this for the rest of your drawing life and your inking will get significantly better.

These are the brush settings I have found and adjusted myself over the years. I’m pretty sure that the sketch one is just a modified version of makanidotdot’s. I can’t take full credit for them, but I hope they are useful all the same!
(also the paint brush works best for me at a smaller size, and on S-4 in the stabilizer. I usually sketch on a lower setting like 15.)
SHUT UP

Process steps! Click for annotations. I’ve always struggled painting from b&w but I watched an amazing video tutorial on it by Dave Greco and I think I finally feel confident in that method. Here’s a link to the video, definitely check it out if you’re interested in painting with photoshop : )
Ahh WELL there are a million different ways to draw armor, I personally use the warcraft methodTM for obvi reasons. I’ll usually draw some big blocky simple shapes for armor, add in the shadows, and then go over it with texture. Add some chips and nicks so it looks battle worn, but you can leave it smoother depending on the type of character wearing the armor. Becca Hallstedt has some amazing tutorials (that r a lot better then mine) for shadows and texture def check them out! Link1 Link2
I just made a post on it! I struggle a LOT with having the colors getting muddy when I paint from greyscale, this is the first time I’ve gotten it to work for me so I’m not en expert on the matter sadly. I think it helped that I stuck with a fairly limited color palette of blues and reds, as I think they’re the easiest colors to work with. Keep experimenting! Colors are HARD but you can do it
TY;-; I’ve never drawn the same thing twice. Consistency, WHO IS SHE
A compilation of stuff I know about drawing Asian faces and Asian culture! I feel like many “How-To-Draw” tutorials often default to European faces and are not really helpful when drawing people of other races. So I thought I’d put this together in case anyone is interested! Feel free to share this guide and shoot me questions if you have any! I’m by no means an expert, I just know a few things from drawing experience and from my own cultural background.
