how do you make art with such great colors? anything you add color to is always AMAZING!!
ahaha thanks!
tbh unless it's tagged with something like "color study" it's probably all greyscale with a color map over it. i just pick a color palette from a generator (my usual is coolors, but anything will work, as long as you get a color combo you like) and put those into the map, and then adjust and maybe work with the greyscale a little more until i'm happy.
if i want to do something with more detail, or more than a standard five colors, i might do all of that and then add more colors over it. i often add more detail on top, unless i'm doing something like concept art.
except for the big hero 6 fanart i did a while ago, which was using a color palette similarly to a greyscale, and then overlaying other colors on top, and the marco wip i still haven't finished, which was colors taken from various images until i had something i liked, all of my digital colored pieces have been done in greyscale first.
just working in some landscape concepts based on basic prompts.
