Jan didn’t know, actually. He frowns and looks at Bojan, who sighs and continues.

”But when we are together, I feel like. It feels like. There shouldn’t be a girlfriend. There should be me.”

Jan has thought about how Bojan’s mood changes when he’s talking to Jere. How his smile reaches his eyes in a different way when he recieves a text from the Finn. And the way the two behave when they are in the same room… Yes, Jan understands, so he nods. ”I’m sorry, Bojči.”

Bojan leans back. Drinks the last of his flat beer.

”It is what it is.”

In a few days, they will leave Liverpool and return to the real world. Käärijä will be the winner of Eurovision 2023 and will probably soon forget all about his temporary little Slovenian rockband friends. Jan understands the finality in Bojan’s voice. It is what it is.

”Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt,” Jan says though.

Bojan shrugs. Gets up from the table.

”Want another beer?”

Jan does.

But anyway, I have written fic! Yes, after a modest hiatus of 10 years, I have written fic. It's Harringrove. @harringrovest beta read it (♡).

Summary: Billy wants Harrington to see him. Turns out getting possessed and almost killed by an interdimensional flesh-eating spider monster is one way to make him look. Kissing a random guy in a gay bar in Indianapolis is another.

This is 100% self-indulgent feel-good fic, and I have no regrets.

Looking for a beta reader (Harringrove ~10K)

So I’ve been dipping my toes into writing fanfic again for the first time in like 15 years, and so I’ve been writing this Harringrove canon-divergent thing as a lil’ summer treat. It’s going to be like 10K I guess? And I’m at a point now that it would be great to have a beta reader take a look at it. So if anyone would be up for some spell checking, look at stringency, vibe et al, I would be forever grateful! English is not my first language but I’m not hopeless at it so it shouldn’t take too much time I think (/hope😅)
