Primary meaning: It symbolizes the end of one chapter of life and the beginning of a new one. Changes, alterations.
Character: Jane
A lot changed in Jane and Daria’s friendship after Tom’s manifestation in the plot. And the tension that developed into interest between Daria and Tom was logically and slowly shown in the episodes (just like the death card: slow inevitability).
14. Temperance
Primary meaning: Temperance encourages harmony, balance, and tranquility. The card symbolizes an individual who respects themselves, has achieved success in life, and can live in harmony with the world around them.
Character: Daria.
Daria may not be the kind of character who lives in harmony with everyone, but her calm extends to everyone. And her sarcastic responses can even be perceived by some as advice. She never reacts violently to events; she slowly (or gradually?) reveals different sides of herself as a character. But ultimately, she realizes that her outlook on the world isn't quite right for positive change. She's against the system, but not against everyone. She's caught between the balance of a sick, sad world and reality.
15. The Devil
Primary meaning: symbolizes hidden forces influencing a person, addictions, temptations, manipulations, the shadow sides of the psyche and unconscious impulses.
Character: Sandi
Sandi has always needed approval and proof of her worth. Her authoritarianism and envy (sometimes openly so) of Quinn make her the perfect devil, with a beautiful, alluring appearance and a wicked soul.
16. The tower
Primary meaning: Difficulties, depression, troubles, loss, oppression
Character: Angela Li
The Ultra Cola episode showed how Ms. Lee can single-handedly destroy the school she's responsible for. All her decisions are driven solely by profit, never by improvement. Therefore, the consequences are devastating.
17. The star
Primary meaning: signifies inspiration and hope. It opens the way to a happy and joyful new future, success and achievement, renewal and well-being.
Character: Brittany
It's more about Britney's character than her description and role in the plot. She often seems aloof, yet she's the center of attention (like a star). She acts a bit silly, but always has a positive attitude. And her parents will be able to provide for her happy future.
18. The Moon
Primary meaning: The card symbolizes illusions and deception, hidden fears, and uncertainty. It speaks of anxiety and insecurity. It symbolizes deception, a secret that haunts, a hidden enemy, rival, or envious person.
Character: Fashion club
The relationships at the fashion club are rather strange. Sandi envies Quinn, and the other members lose their individuality in favor of the two "leaders." And then there's their fear of being seen in an "indecent" way in front of everyone.
19. The Sun
Primary meaning: A symbol of light, joy, success, prosperity, and happiness. In most readings, the card is interpreted as a new beginning, a favorable resolution to a situation, and good fortune.
Character: Jane
Daria and Jane's meeting marked the beginning of their friendship, which, in its own way, helped them "overcome school difficulties." Their hatred for everyone was a harmony between them.
20. Judgment

Character: Helen

Quinn definitely has an eye for beauty. Her personality allows her to navigate difficult situations with Sandi (peace within the club). She's also new to town, making her "out of the Lawndale world." And she's a good negotiator.
