as much as i agree with the fact that this website is fucking awful for kids, uh, telling kids to “not expose themselves to sociopolitical stuff of any kind” is kinda ridiculously condescending at the very least and downright dangerous at most, esp if said kids are privileged (not for them but for other kids they’re gonna know as they grow up)

there are much better ways to warn kids about manipulative and dangerous tendencies on tumblr and in sj spaces than telling them to plant their heads in the sand
