here lies millicent âmissyâ washington, mediocre daughter, sister, friend, & bookstore manager. mourned by all who knew her in valenciacresthq, california, but most especially by bambi (23, she/her, pst).
( jaz sinclair + she/they ) â§Ë° is that  MILLICENT âMISSYâ WASHINGTON on their break from being a STORE MANAGER at CORNER BOOKS? theyâre listening to ENJOY THE SILENCE by DEPECHE MODE again. i heard theyâve been in los angeles for THEIR WHOLE LIFE, theyâre 29 now. is it just me or do they remind you of well-worn books, black nail polish, the slouching vampire in the corner, drumsticks shoved into a chunky boot, lazy eyes that remind you of a cat in the summer heat ?Â
full name: millicent opal washington

-: dismissive, melancholic, judgmental, defensive
tl;dr â
missy's life began when she was ten years old and watched john badman's dracula. subculture could come later, but right then, missy had found a purpose. or whatever a 10 year old thinks purpose is.
unsurprisingly, missy has been herself for as long as she can remember. her parents, both woefully normal but loving all the same, encouraged her through it all.
bullying slides off of her back as a result. despite the severity of it (high school was not fun), missy doesn't mind that she's "weird". why would she? she's cool as fuck.
being the middle child meant there was a bit less pressure on them, a little less attention; this, combined with stellar grades and a generally unassuming aura, meant missy could do pretty much whatever they wanted. who gave the sixteen year old the joint?!
did what she had to. went to college, got an english degree, realized she doesn't want to be an english professional at all. her dream is to be a writer, something that evokes the same wistful rot as the gothic novels she'd pore over every night as a kid.
did eventually have to deal with being the nothingburger child. don't they know that in these times people can make a living off of being a store manager?
headcanons â
somewhere in between trad goth and vampire goth. does her makeup only sometimes â during school, she'd do it every single day, but she's got less time now.
kind of extends to their clothing, too â if she's not adorned with jewelry upon jewelry, corsets, belts, she's wearing something plain, black, and breathable in the california heat. whatever they're wearing, don't expect to see any skin below the top of her chest and maybe her arms. good fucking luck catching a glimpse of a calf.
drives a hearse thatâs been redone to have crushed red velvet interior. she did it all herself (she directed her younger brother and sometimes helped). missy is very proud of her baby.
haunts the bookstore like a ghastly creature. if you walk in and see a vampire slumped against the cashier's stool reading her own pick, try not to get scared. she won't make noise until you get to the register, anyway â they're alive, i swear!
loves it there because it's quiet and she can get away with being a little evil when someone bothers her. also, the ac is never broken, the mysterious owner clearly taking care of the glorified shack. yay!
tends to have the kind of "i'm going to push you out when you try to push in before you can leave me yourself" because she's fucking stupid. believes herself the coolest person on earth and also unworthy of the love she craves. girl whatever.
writing a novel detailing the life of a lonely wayward vampire. right ....
drummer for the band hexx. has more fun on stage than she's ever had in her entire life but refuses to acknowledge it because then it'd mean that she's buying into the idea that it could turn into something serious (she already has).
ooey gooey center. yearns for the love she's seen in novels but rarely lets herself be open to it.
much more pleasant when drunk and/or high.
edgy, pretentious, and sad.
wanted connections â
anything. literally anything. make magic with me ... (and watch this space i might add more)
