After watching the ep 4 (not subbed, I didn't understand shit but it's cool) and reading chapters 56 and 57 I need to know DO WWX AND JC FORGIVE EACH OTHER AND BECOME FRIENDS AGAIN? Dear, you are not the only one in agony. I lost count of the number of people who actually asked me the same question. What an irony. This is a BL story yet no one is asking if Wuxian and Wangji will live ‘happily ever after’. The only biggest concern is “Do Wuxian and Jiang Cheng go back to where they were?”.
So I guess I will take this chance to RANT about this issue. *sob loudly while typing* You have been warned.
First, this is an extremely difficult question to reply. I don’t want to spoil everyone, but there can hardly be any clear answer to this. Some think they do. Some think they do not. Let’s say it’s sort of an open ending that leaves room for personal interpretation and pain absorption.
But no, it doesn’t end just like that. The biggest reason why I can’t answer your question is, if I want to answer it properly, I’ll have to spoil like 80% of the remaining chapters. Many things happened. Regrettable acts. Tragic ordeals. Misunderstood words. Each and every single detail leads to their current behaviour, sentiment and relationship state, which then lead to the conclusion. Can they be friends again? I can’t answer this with Yes or No. I will have to write a 10,000-word thesis to rant about everything that happened and to defend Jiang Cheng my point. ( ╥﹏╥ )
All I want to say is, as of this moment, I want to refrain from spoiling anything. You don’t explain their relationship, or the possibility of their reconciliation, with mere words; you feel it. Read along and you will soon know what I mean. Do they, or should they, or can they become friends again? One day you will have your own answer to this, I believe.
