okay real talk

when i was in middle school i watched dan and phil's videos all the time, like i mean all. the. time. they were all i talked about and all i really bothered to keep up with since i didn't have Netflix or good tv channels available to me (thanks charter) so i was enthralled with how honest and genuine and funny dan and Phil were. Sure, I didn't understand everything they made, but I still thought it was everything.

About 5 years later, after months of not watching anything from them (thanks high school) I watched some of Dan's old videos to see if I still liked them, and goddamn they were actually better than I remember them because I'm old enough to understand how dan felt when he talked about uni. And how Phil felt when he talked about being always being 'the awkward one'. i've had to pull myself out of slumps exactly as dan described, and now that i'm old enough to have people question all of my life decisions i understand so much more of what these two went through and the fact that they did it and they still made it through it all is exponentially resssuring than the first time i heard it.
