Not all characters are here yet, but I'll be adding them as the story progresses. Character ages represent their age by the last day of 1493 (or at time of death if applicable). For example, Itzcacalotl is 18 here, but still 17 in the comic, since his birthday is in December, while the story has developed between March and May so far.

Running another one of my OCTs, these are some Staff Characters for it. They're the local extra wildlife raised by the event Host Character. Theyre a mashup of ICP and Slime Rancher because I want things extra unhinged. The Camera Slime is based on old Casette Tape recordings too. Tarrbwire got some Kratos dna in the design probably lol.

Some art that only makes sense to me. Explanation below the cut if you’re so inclined. Otherwise enjoy it independent of context I’m not your dad

The bundle of nerves is what a ghoul looks like in its natural state. In this state it cannot exist in our world for long, being volatile and explosive in order to survive living in the depths of hell. Hence why they must be bound to this world by nails in order to become tangible.

(I have a hard time thinking of how the ghouls would look, as I’d like to bring my own spin to their concept.)

Hell and the mortal plane have different frequencies and they are temporarily made to be resonant in summoning rituals, carried out by members of the clergy known as Resonant Heralds. V here was apprenticed to become one (separated from Copia and hidden away in another diocese) before a summoning incident caused a massive planar and temporal destabilization between Hell and the mortal plane. Human life is fundamentally incompatible with Hell’s frequency, and having been exposed to them, V’s soul is now receiving wavelengths from hell (think of it as a radio dish receiving many different transmissions? I don’t know, I’m not good at verbalizing things). The skull mask and silver implements are resonant grounding devices that tether his soul to our world.

As you can imagine he is normal about this. Copia does not know about this incident due to the lengths the church took to cover it up and maybe would have a bit more empathy for his brother if he knew. But alas.

Some assorted artfights of from this year; tried experimenting around with my style to mixed success! I'm trying to do some more painterly work and mix that with my greebled lining style. Mainly to try and find something that doesn't destroy my wrists as much.

There's a lot more I want to toy with but I think this was a fun experiment!

Really wished I got more attacks out but man did I burn out quickly.

My audition comic for MoxieMooo's Pokemon-themed OCT, Sunburn Showdown! This is the first EVER comic I've been able to work on for over 3 weeks, and as a result I got to practice my use of tones and values a lot more! I am so, so happy with the results and can't wait to be back in the OCT mindset again!
