Michael and Kurt Highschool au at the request of @obsessivelykrissy

Kurt doesn't really pay attention in any lessons, he's convinced that he'll get famous before school ends so he won't need any of it anyway

They become 'friends' when they're paired up for an English project. Kurt doesn't think about it much, pretty much accepts that he'll fail or get a low grade but the day before the project's due he gets a text from an unknown number (Michael) with pictures of the pwp slides and Kurt's half of the script

Kurt's pretty sure that doing well on their project makes them best friends and starts following Michael's round all the time, talking to him like they're much closer than they actually are.

Michael mainly ignores him but eventually he gets pissed off at being tailed all day everyday and waits until they're in an empty corridor to snap at Kurt

He basically thinks that either Kurt's in on some elaborate joke with the kids that bully him, or that Kurt is a lunatic. Either way he doesn't want to be around him.

For a few days, it seems like Kurt got the message but then Michael notices someone walking a few dozen feet behind him when he's on his way home.

He stops to confront him and Kurt catches up to him and just starts- walking with him? Picking up on a conversation they'd been in the middle of a week earlier, like he hadn't thought of anything else since.

Michael's a bit too stunned to interrupt him and just kind of goes along with it until they're outside Michael's house.

The next morning Kurt is waiting outside the backdoor to Michael's house and walks with him to school like it's nothing.

This goes on for a while before Michael stops making Kurt go away in the evenings and just invites him in to finish whatever crazy rambling Kurt was going on about on the way home.

Michael gets the hint pretty quickly that Kurt's home life must not be great if he's willing to spend all his time at Michael's shit hole and decides to just accept the company instead of asking.

•Kurt has a lot of stuffed animals, he collects different animals so he can expand his 'zoo'. For Michael's birthday every year he buys him one that he thinks Michael's would like. Michael usually hates them but he has a few that he secretly loves (his favourites are bats)

•It took Kurt over a year to finally find out when Michael's birthday is because he was so secretive about it. 'why does it matter when we were born if we're all going to die in the end' kinda shit every time he asks him. He eventually found it out from finding Michael's driver's license at the back of the glove box.

•Every time Kurt gets a haircut he hates it for like a week afterwards so he's started getting Michael to cut it for him (the main appeal of this is that when he moves too much Michael threatens him with the scissors

•Before Kurt revealed that they were dating, Michael used to be behind the camera filming him. They made it a game, seeing how long Michael could record him without making a noise or making it obvious that he was there. A lot of the early videos end abruptly with the camera starting to shake or someone behind it making a sound

• there is one (1) video on Kurt's channel that's only Michael because Kurt filmed it when he was high and Michael doesn't remember it being taken. Kurt definitely likes the idea of Michael finding it and getting mad at him (there's no way Kurt doesn't have some kind of degradation thing bfr)
