“i don’t like snow,” kaz announced, loudly, shutting the door behind her with a loud slam and shaking herself furiously, white flakes flying out of her hair, but clinging stubbornly to the material of what had once been her warm winter jacket, “it’s cold and slippy and IRRITATING, and it makes everything wet.”
inside you will not find 43 knives because someone said that was too many, here's 45 knives and a picture of Janelle Monae who is my favorite earthling
fe-fist:
“No?” he asked, the professor letting out a sigh of impatience and on a certain level, disappointment. Violence and combat had been a part of his life for as long as he could remember, but at the same time he had self control and restraint all but beaten into him. It pained him to see what was clear to be a lashing out. He could feel the anger wafting off of her in waves and it pained him even more to feel. “I understand as much. May I?” he said, his hand glowing as he reached for one of her hands.
anyone with common sense knew, it wasn't the smartest of ideas to talk so freely of the beat down of another student in front of a professor of the school. regardless what sort of school they were, it was never good to admit to such things - and she was certainly her mother's daughter. kaz knew ALL of that well enough, and knew that the real smart thing to do would have been to keep her mouth shut.... so, it was only natural for her to then choose, consciously, to do the opposite. it was kaz all over, painting the worst picture of her actions for SOME reason, unbeknownst to anyone but her. "may you...?" she asked, eyes narrowing, slightly, her vague suspicion obvious. she knew of him. but she didn't know to expect any kind of help from anyone, which made her added words that bit more fair. "is this my punishment, or something?- we're going to hold hands?"

willfulprincex:
“That is…comforting, I suppose.” T’Chaka finally replied. The prince was unnerved by this, to say the least. “Did the other person at least deserve it?”
comforting. that was one word for it, /she/ supposed. dark eyes dancing from the floor up to t'chaka, her gaze didn't waver much when she gave a casual one shouldered shrug and said, simply, "he got in my way. it was deserved in my books." her voice didn't waver, she didn't seem to even pause to think - and it was, in fairness, the perfect lie. kaz didn't feel like mentioning he'd only 'gotten in the way' when she diverted course, her aim to STOP him cornering another girl. she didn’t mention she’d only thrown the first punch when he’d grabbed the others wrist hard enough for her to whimper. no - she didn’t mention facts, and reasoning. it would have painted her in too well of a light.
chriistcphers:
christopher rolled his eyes as he heard her response, “because i know you well enough to know you did,” he responded, a small smile spreading across his face. he’d been in this exact situation far more times than he cared for but knowing his sister, that probably wouldn’t change. “started what?” he asked, arching an eyebrow as he waited for her response. at the very least he hoped she’d have a good reason for it. pointless bloodshed, was well pointless.
"you think you know me well enough," came her sharp retort, though the smile that was beginning to pull at chapped lips said otherwise to her tone. seeming so dismissive and uninterested was trademark kaz - but when it came to christopher, she knew how to display emotions outside of her basic two far better than with anyone else. "should i start at the beginning with his ‘smile, sweetheart’, or where it started to go down hill with his ‘oh, i get it, it’s that time of the month.’” she paused, let her words sink in, and then chuckled, darkly, “nevermind. you get it.”
itsxsarahrogers:
Sarah gave a slight shrug, offering a smile even if the girl was too rude to look at her when she spoke. “If you say so,” she said easily, not really going to pry. She was just going to ask if the girl was okay, but clearly, she wasn’t, and equally clearly, she didn’t want to talk about it. “It’s not really my business whose it is, I just wanted to see if you were okay.”
if she said so. that garnered a little more than steaming indifference, and kaz let out a sharp exhale of breath that was almost a laugh, sparing a glance to the rogers before her before once again, she looked elsewhere. it wasn't ignorance - more her way of keeping her battered face tilted at an unseeable angle, avoiding the questions she didn't really think would come, but wanted to ensure. "i am - i've had worse, so." she said, simply, truthfully, adding after some time and thought, "thanks for making sure..- are you?- okay, i mean.” that was the civil thing to do. that was the friendly thing to do.
ill do replies in the morning, i actually just need a little break <3
hunterlebeau:
Hunter shrugged, his eyes still fixed on the girl with a smirk on his lips. He had no idea what had happened, but it seemed like whoever had crossed her had ended up in pretty bad shape. “Didn’t say anything, did I?” Devilish eyes finally looked away and looked to their immediate surroundings as if the other person was suddenly going to reappear right before them so that he could access who had come out on top. “I’m sure whoever was on the receiving end of those deserved it,” he said motioning towards her bloodied knuckles.
kaz didn't reply - but the expression that flitted across her face, a small, smug smile, the likes of which weren't unusual on her face but that in this situation, at least, she worked to get rid of before too long had passed. he HADN'T said anything - maybe that was what she got for being so assumptive - and she was kind of pleased that now she'd tuned in, and taken note of who'd been watching, he didn't even seem so inclined. how conscious she'd been of her knuckles until then went out the window, and she pulled back her sleeves once again to look at them. "he didn't think so, but you know how it is-" she replied, easily, her tone nothing if not casual as she continued, "they never really do. you're not gonna rat me out, are you?"
franklin-lebeau:
Franklin didn’t immediately know what to make of her claim. Either she beat someone to a pulp, and hadn’t washed the…blood off, or she had been punching a wall and damaged the skin on her knuckles that way. He didn’t know enough about her to judge whether she was a truthful person or not, so he had no choice but to take her at her word. Still- the blood made his stomach flip. His eyes fluttered closed to avoid having to look, but he saw her raw knuckles on the back of his eyelids as well. He resolved to look at the floor. “Should I get a nurse?”
the funny thing about blood was, if you saw enough of it, you tended to get used to the sight fairly quickly. it became just another stain - like coffee, or toothpaste - and any natural inclination to squirm when confronted with deep red went away soon enough. kaz had seen a lot of blood, in her time, maybe more of other people's than her own, but enough that now... it didn't bother her at all. franklin clearly HADN'T, and she'd have been lying through her teeth if she'd denied being morbidly entertained by his reaction. "i can stick a dinky plaster over them as well as a nurse," she said simply, dismissively, knowing she could do just as good a job - her mother had taught her that much. "i'd say you could get me a bottle of vodka, but i don't suppose you have one on hand."
not-so-super-skrull:
Seph only offered the other a dismissive hum. He had seen blood of a myriad of colors, and the sight of it was hardly shocking anymore. He rose an eyebrow slowly as she revealed her bloodied knuckles. The skrull merely sucked his teeth as he heard her continue. “You missed a bit.” he said, his arm extending as he wiped a bit of blood from her cheek. “Is the other dead?” he asked
her instinct when a hand drew near was to tense up. call it muscle memory - her body remembered all the times she had been touched by violence, dismissing the rare moments between. she didn't move away from seph, always one to brave whatever came, but she did freeze up until assured there was no malice behind the gesture, her own hand going to her cheek when he moved his away again as if to check that he had wiped it all away, murmuring a "thanks" when her fingers came away clean. "i imagine right now, he’s wishing he was,” her smile was every bit the wolf, all teeth and savagery, voice full of venom aimed only at the boy left bloody, “there’s not many men that enjoy their ass getting handed to them by a woman.”
lucyrand:
It wasn’t uncommon for Lucy to come across bloodied people. It had become such a habitual thing in her life that the girl barely flinched anymore at the sight of wounds. Once upon a time blood had made her faint. “I didn’t ask.” Lucy responded with a shrug, not aiming to be rude but in an attempt to tell the girl explanations weren’t necessary. “Is the other person alive, at least?”
"i figured you might," kaz replied simply with a shrug of tiny shoulders that said volumes more than she ever would; i just wanted to beat you to it. people were nosy. they liked to get all up in the business of strangers, liked to know what was happening to the people all around them, even if they didn't admit it. kaz knew enough to know that and to let it influence how she'd thought this was about to play out... but call her pleasantly surprised, that lucy hadn't been about to follow the script. "tragically- but i figured this school wouldn't look too kindly on me murdering a guy in the art room, so..." another shrug, this time with a savage little smile attached, "it was probably for the best. you didn’t think i’d actually killed someone, did you?”
asgardsladysif:
“No?” she arched an eyebrow at the girl, expression making it all too clear just how unconvinced she was. “Then whose is it?” There was no anger in her tone, just a firmness, laced with concern. It didn’t matter that the girl didn’t like her; she was Thor’s daughter, and that was enough reason for Sif to want to watch out for her. Besides, she’d held her ground against far worse than an angry twenty-two year old.
it was the concern in her voice that did it. anyone else might have been touched by the emotion detected in her " step-mother's " tone when finally she spoke, but kaz...- well, to her it was not just unexpected, but unwanted, too. she didn't want the others line of question and she didn't need her worry, not now, nor ever, and as a woman who's emotions took the wheel an easy ninety five percent of the time, her next words were hardly a surprise. "your daughters." aimless anger did funny things to a person - including, it seemed, jutting out her chin and deadpanning a sharp response, the emotionless set of her features never betraying the lie.
chriistcphers:
christopher let out a small sigh as he noticed the blood on his sister’s sleeves, of course she’d be covered in blood. it was such a common sight, he wasn’t even sure if he wanted to know what she’d done this time. “what’d you do kaz?” he asked, as he placed his hands on his hips, he felt like a stern parent, but perhaps that’s what he needed to be in this situation.
"why is it you automatically assume that i did anything?" kaz shot back without so much as a pause in breath, the situation and the response all too familiar. for christopher, she was sure, this was a curious case of repetitive déjà vu; because as casual as she treated it, the feeling was mutual. and, as such situations usually ran through, she was quick to try a never more blatant lie out for size - “they started it. i was just...- trying to finish it.”
( learn about kaz here !! )
“it’s NOT mine.” too many long moments had passed, and kaz had grown well and truly tired of the watching pair of eyes that she could feel to her side. her words were nothing but a dark mutter, coupled with the sudden, rough yank of her sleeves over bloodied knuckles and a blatant ignoring of the small smear of the same across one cheek, the one that just happened to be facing them. fired up brown eyes fixed on the floor, teeth tearing into her bottom lip, she paused, considered, and then added, finally, “not all of it, anyway.”
