it is tunnel vision that guides her to entrance of the craft, herding this GAGGLE of asgardian children towards the ship like so many free-range cattle. there is CHAOS and commotion, but it falls upon deaf ears.
if she allows herself a moment to think, torunn may be stricken to STONE; it is a luxury she cannot afford now. so many small faces look to her – look to their PRINCESS to show them the way and she cannot look as afraid as she FEELS –
{ but in truth, torunn wants her mother just as bad as any of these little ones. }
a hard JERK of weight is suddenly at her shoulder, and the maiden looks down to see the child in her grasp has been tripped in their haste. no, no, they can’t slow down now –
“ ah, smár systkin – come here. “
torunn reaches down to take the child under the arms, swinging her up onto an armored hip and with ALL the strength she can muster – she smiles brightly as they crowd up the stairs to the ship.
“ what is your name ? “
Before any words -- of protest or pain or anything -- can escape Einfrid’s lips, she feels her whole body being suspended by the PRINCESS. Her dark hair, now tangled and dirty, is quickly brushed away before they can stick to her sweaty forehead or cheeks.
She pouts. She had been CRYING, but it has stopped. Still, some signs still show. The red eyes, the wet nose. Mostly her quivering lower lip. But she has to be STRONG. She has promised her father she would.
“I-I’m Einfrid, lady Pricess”, she manages, eyes once more darting around. Now she is looking for the most familiar faces of them all: her PARENTS. Surely, they are not too far behind. Her mother would never leave her alone in a moment such as this.
Not able to find them, she looks at this VESSEL. It is unlike everything she has ever seen. The crowd gathers together quickly, most exhibiting the same dread as the little girl hanging on the Princess’ hips. “I-I-I can walk”, she says reluctantly.
