can we just appreciate the fact that the hunger games trilogy is only a little more than 300k words while zeppazarielâs crimson rivers is on the closer end of 1 million, like thats just crazy impressive
I literally am at a doctors appointment, and there was no service. So the next chapter wouldnât load on the fic I was reading. I asked for the bathroom code, walked to the bathroom trying to get service, went outside and walked in the middle of the parking lot till I could click next chapter. I went to a different tab and opened up the same fic but like different chapters so I can switch when Iâm done. Calmly walked back in the office and sat down in the waiting room where no one knows the extent I went through to read about the same gay wizards fall in love a different way.
âOh look!â James beams, poking Remusâ arm excitedly. Remus struggles not to roll his eyes, if only for Jamesâ sake, as he places a bookmark within the pages of the novel he was so abruptly interrupted from. He looks up, from said book, and notes that the 6th year transfiguration students have just been released from their class, which, yes, explains why James had wanted to sit here in the first place. As if on cue with his internal dialogue, James sighs lovingly as he leans his head on Remusâ shoulder. âThere he is.â
Remus pinpoints Regulus Black almost immediately, watching as he tentatively slips out of the classroom, trailing close behind his fellow classmates. âYou know itâs only going to cause you trouble down the road, fancying Siriusâ little brother.â
âOh but Moony, how can I resist him when heâs so adorable?â James swoons. His eyes are wide with adoration, following Regulusâ every step as the Slytherin quickly makes his way down the hall and towards their direction. James suddenly sits up straight and leans impassively on the wall, however, the repetitive drill of his shoe tapping against the floor is a dead giveaway of his true motives. âMoony, watch this.â Oh, this should be good. âHey, Reggie!â
Just as Regulus instinctively brought his gaze upon them, James threw him a comical wink, smirking as he did so. This time, Remus didnât put up a fight, simply letting his eyes roll to the back of his head, making it obvious to James that he was doing so.
He fully expects Regulus to do the same.
What he doesnât expect is for Regulus to flush an awfully bright shade of pink and he definitely doesnât expect him to trip over, seemingly, nothing but air, barely catching himself from tumbling to the floor.
Regulus stills with fear and embarrassment, freezing like a deer in headlights as Jamesâ smirk shifts into a dopey grin. Regulus quickly recovers, however, scowling at James before shuffling away in the opposite direction.
The second that Regulus disappears from their sight, James is practically melting into Remus' shoulder, humming contently against his sweater. âSee? Adorable.â
