Having fun creating characters as pose tests and design practice!

this started off with just finding a fun pose reference and turned into a full character design. Originally it was just the flowy elements and then the moser I started to add color and texture I realized she started taking on what I think of as a somewhat modern day take on Romanian clothing so I decided to embrace the colors and patterns with it! I had so much fun with this, even if she looks a bit older in the face than I was intending but I think that’s part of the charm. I think she’s also an exhausted college student just like me though!

I’m back with a height chart of how I like to doodle the WandaVision family!!

I really love the idea of Viv being the shortest and even though she is a synthizoid she’s still a foot shorter than Vision. Plus she’s shorter than Wanda by a few inches so it still feels very mother daughter of them. And then her ‘big brothers’ are also taller. Then of course Sparky is the shortest as a very good puppy. I think it’s also so funny if Tommy is a singular inch taller than Billy but both are only barely shorter than Wanda. And then a vision is canonically 6’3” and I hate it but it does add to tall dad.

these are also some of my basic designs for them all, Vis is still being worked on, I play around with him a lot since all of his consumes confuse me constantly. I might make a full sheet of my various vision ideas

My usual Viv design!

This is a basic character sheet I made for how I usually doodle Vivvy! Thinking about making more character sheets for how I draw marvel characters and making a mini fan comic centering on Viv and her family.

under the cut are more bits of information of her design!

Some of the key parts are: keeping in her main colors of pink and green and her diamond heart

the horns mimic both Wanda and Wiccans masks

the heart rate monitor lines on her belt

all of the red in her design come from my main red when drawing Wanda

hair is on a slightly longer side and has more volume than most of her appearances, mimicking her Love Unlimited comic look

her mind stone is cut the same as Visions!

The following description is fictional, all people and places are made up for the story :)

"The Lewis Carroll Hour"

A children's program created in the late 1950's to be televised in the early morning when most older children and teenagers would be at school.

While actors and artists are properly credited, the actual producers, directors, writers, and creators are simply listed as

"The V.O. Group" (Vagus Oculus), which is the company behind the production.

Most of the time the 1-hour time slot would be broken up into segments and would include various characters from the works of Lewis Carroll being used as "actors" to tell various OTHER children's stories, usually with a lesson or moral attatched to it.

The White Rabbit, puppeteered by William Tillman and voiced by Adam Martin, takes the place as the host and narrator of the aforementioned segments. Every episode begins and ends with his appearance.

In the series, no "Alice" exists. Instead, the viewer takes her place. Usually, they are referred to as "you" or "them", and no name or gender distinction is given.

However;

As recordings of this programme surface on the web, it seems that instead of a vague "you", Alice is referred to by name. Maybe it's just a simple case of Mandela Effect?

Which got me thinking. What were Angus and Tabatha likely smoking in abh? Because in the book the caterpillar is smoking tobacco from a hookah, like was common in the 1800s.

But did ppl also do this in 1941? Would it have been readily available in the age of rationing? I know abh is far from perfect with its historical details but I wonder if there is a link to history someone can make here…

I think it's still a form of tobacco or at least parts of it? I know cigarettes were a popular thing and soldiers in some ration cases would be given a pack of cigs as well! Those are type C rations that would include them. I think they were still available to civilians as well at the time even if it wasn't in a large supply. they were also used for pain relief and such so maybe he had them for that? I don't know I'm just thinking and putting some of my knowledge to use.

Honestly all I can imagine is them lighting a few of them and placing them in a bottle or something and taking a piece of tubing or something to make a really makeshift hookah because it's funny.

Honestly I was just having fun. I wanted to add in some more scaring to her as well because we’ve already seen what her hands and arms look like so I personally always imagine her now with something on her face and neck well. Plus the eye bags, girl is always exhausted of dealing with everyone. Suirei very quickly became of my favorite charters <3

I don't often do little things like this but it's a thought. Might draw it later :)

There's something so intimate about having two hairpins on you in a rival area. One from said rival and one from home. There's something intimate about wearing the one from home even though if someone with power notices and connects the pieces it could mean trouble as it could be seen as rebellion inside the rebellion. There's also something so intimate about using the rival one to eat something like the sweetest gift you could ever be given because despite the betrayal there was care and thought about it there. And of course there is something so deeply intimate beyond any words that comes from giving your hairpin from home to the rival that gave you hers, and saying that it's okay if you don't get it back, but now you've given it and are saying in your own way that you trust her and that she has your care and support but also in a way saying that the original giver has their own way of caring as well even if it's probably going to be just to appease you in a way if at anything.
