i feel like a child, lost and confused, sitting in the rain, wondering why a puddle is gathering around me—and then i look up and find that the raindrops are tainted with stars; they sparkle in my eyes. i am so fascinated that i do not hear my parents call my name from across the street until it is too late. the headlights have collided with my body. all i can see are galaxies exploding in front of me and it’s beautiful. my death is beautiful.
