Here are my personal opinons and rankings of the Huntr/x & Saja Boys Songs

SEPERATE

Huntr/x

How it’s Done: it rocks; can hear them all/seems almost balanced between the 3; gives look at personality; IT ROCKS

What it Sounds Like: actually being honest with each other, no lies; however, I hear Rumi more than Zoey or Mira, so it’s feels less balanced between them, who are supposed to be equals/partners

Golden: it’s a good song OUT OF CONTEXT; mostly Rumi’s song but is supposed to be some kind of vision board song; HOWEVER OUT OF CONTEXT: ITS A LIE. Literally: ‘no more hiding I’ll be shining’?!?!?! Rumi is lying through her teeth! The song is all kinds of toxicity. To Mira and Zoey, it’s probably a lot less toxic, but from Rumi? Hella toxic and internalized things. Static ideal hypocritical etc etc etc. Raaaaaah! Grrrr.

Takedown: full of hatred; it sounds good but it feels like it drags you down, not lift you up

Saja Boys

Your Idol: it’s an awesome song. It rocks. Hooo boy. It’s awesome. HOWEVER. I have a hard time differentiating Mystery & Romance from Jinu’s singing parts. Obviously, it’s dragging the KPop industry, and it’s parasocialism etc and that’s always good. It’s got a good beat too. Also, that one car beep thingy always throws me, makes me think I turned up my headphones too hard

Soda Pop: I just really don’t like the ‘bubblegum pop’ genre? I think that’s what it’s called. Also. It sounds very suggestive. And I HATE Romance & Abby’s outfits the most. Then Baby’s. Romance has to many hearts. His yellow doesn’t match Mystery’s yellow/warm gold. It seems more tinny. Cut out some hearts man. Abby: he’s built! He doesn’t need a shirt 4x too small to look attractive. Use suggestion. We all have that little Victorian man switch in our heads. So: Bodysuits? Muscle shirts with layers over it? Normal jeans? Cheeky little meshness? Like his top during Your Idol? Plunging necklines? Like, just barely over the abs.

ALL TOGETHER

Your Idol: it’s my fave genre

How It’s Done: it’s peak. Mira is awesome

What it Sounds Like: Most Honest Song from Huntr/x

Golden: good song out of context, not in context

Takedown: hateful but good beat/melody

Soda Pop: I don’t like this genre of song. Bleh

Also, I was playing around with having the normal songs going, and then layering instrumental versions of other ones over it and Takedown and Your Idol have Very similar beats to each other.

and Golden and Your Idol kind of compliment each other. Also have a similarity to each other, (can’t remember what)

Why is it that i follow so many ADHD people? (no hate just very interesting) I’ve watched so many of these YouTubers for years and in the last week, in videos or clips, I’ve just found out probably most of them are ADHD within the last week (seriously in this week alone I found out apparently 6 of them are ADHD)

idk friendly reminder to artists to be aware of how they add things like facial tattoos to characters

among many Indigenous cultures across North America, face tattoos hold significance for the tribe and the individual.

for instance, for some ak tribes, a woman’s tattoo like chin stripes/chin stripe tattoos can be specific to where someone lives, their family line, and a woman reaching her maturity/cycles

Also, many Native men and women were ridiculed harshly for these expression of culture by colonizers, which led to these people feeling shame, and then not teaching or allowing their children to continue these natural expressions of who they are.

this led to traditional tattoos almost being lost to time.

So, (and I know that many would not know) seeing these characters who are not Native gets me really fired up

because why do these ones get to take pride in their tattoos while even now my people are tormented and looked down on for ‘ruining themselves’

My piece for the Silk Touch Calender by @hotguycalendar !! Everyone's worked super hard on their pieces so you should absolutely take a look at the full calender!!! :] I wanted to do an interpretation of Mother Spore that was a bit different from the sort of styles I usually see for him, it's very inspired by Look 4 from the Pre-Fall 2014 Jean Paul Gaultier collection. It's the first time in a long while I've done something super focused on clothing, and I hope it turned out well!

been on a ghibli binge lately. I grew up on Ponyo and Arietty, and now that I’ve gone through all my nostalgia watches, I am watching a lot of Ghibli. I just love the slow pacing and the slice of life feels.

howl’s moving castle: loved the story. didn’t understand why the witch of the waste cursed Sophie. But the romance felt like it came after the the sorcerer said Sophie was in love with Howl. Still liked it though. LOVED SOPHIE. Howl is a melodramatic icon. Mr. Meltdown I need to read the book once I have the time.

I can totally understand the message of love will last even past death. Especially for people who feel so alone in the world.

HOWEVER

That was not platonic between Anna and Marnie. Like, hello? “I love you more than any girl I’ve ever known.”????????????? That did not read as platonic. Especially because they look like they are in the same age range. And don’t get me started on that poster! Holding hands on the beach with their backs to each other? That screamed like a sadly little star-crossed lovers.

I don’t know what new-to-me Ghibli movie to watch after that…

Hello! I don't know many other kiwis online, but I am trying my hardest to spread this cause around.

To anyone from Aotearoa reading this. Please, sign this petition. Share this cause with your followers, or anyone you know who may sign. Thank you.

A mining company, Bathurst, wants to turn Denniston Plateau into a giant open-cast mine. The nearby Stockton mine is pictured below.

Denniston is home to incredible ecology found nowhere else. Tiny plants. Fossils. Ancient sandstone landscapes. Odd-coloured geckos, flatworms, kiwi, fernbirds, peripatus, and the infamous Avatar Moth.

If this plan goes ahead, they are all lost forever. Along with any chance for study or scientific advancement.

It will also poison major waterways. Runoff from the nearby Stockton mine can, quite literally, dissolve a car.

The money is flowing into the pockets of overseas investors, and they are mainly employing overseas workers. This plan will not 'strengthen the nz economy'. It will weaken tourism, worsen our climate, and make the town of Westport even more dependent on Bathurst.

This mine will cost Aotearoa far, far more than what Bathurst pays us. The human cost, and the environmental cost, is even worse.

Denniston is on stewardship land. This mine will set a dangerous precedent for all protected spaces.

Bathurst proposed this plan a decade ago. (They are now appealing under the fast-track bill.) We beat them before, and we will beat them again!
