I’m working on re-organizing my basement/studio/house... I’m probably gonna make a weekly blogging schedule in a week or two. see ya then.
The rest of last week was rough. I worked 6 days straight the week before and then did my own work stuff the weekend following those days and I probably shoulda relaxed that weekend. So I took 3 chill days and then we did some holiday shopping this weekend. I started a new diary, #17 last night. It always feels really satisfying to finish a diary. I’m still keeping up on instrument practice, finishing the final copies of ASHES, and sketching. But I haven’t really been creating much. I’ll have to clean all my workspaces soon. I’ll post pics then.
hmm, sometimes I might type this up.

I share a house with the person I married last year. I got diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and got a CPAP machine in August this year. I spent so much time in a sleep deprived state. I lost so much time to physical and mental exhaustion. But I sleep now, and I sleep well. It took me awhile to really get used to the machine but I’m doing so much more now that I was able to do last year. I feel incredible.
I call my new basement studio the Celestial Sanctuary. You can catch up with my creative endeavors over the past 2 (and if you wait until january, 3) years at A Reflection of Ash and you can follow my main creative output at Cosmic Cry Productions. I even have a website, cosmiccry.space.
I guess I’ll post pictures of my actual diary pages here instead of typing out my already handwritten to do lists.

ok, so yesterday i did some things. i have to remember what those are now.
put up a big projects list in the basement studio (now to be referred to as the Constellations studio)
took inventory of the projects that are already started
determined the problem with the Motor Box
listened to a bunch of tapes and some cds
practiced guitar
ruined the tongue drum in an attempt to improve it (don’t worry, i have another plate ready to replace the one i wrecked)
put together a shopping list for current projects
watched Lord of the Rings
worked on the podcast
great! today i hope to
finish normalizing and editing the podcast
remove recycling from my room
add intro, outro, and break music to podcast
laundry
schedule eye exam
at the very least, i’ll be happy if i can do that stuff... and I just remembered my original plan for today involved the home depot and some manual labor, oh well.

Ok so the past two weeks I’ve been awful at doing anything but sleeping but there are some updates. I’ve started making progress on my residency project, I got some good demos of the recent instruments I built, I finally started on that podcast, and I finally decided to become a manager at my day job. I’ll start training for that in about 2 weeks. I'm gonna make a post of what I do today when I click out
.

ok, i’m gonna start doing these things on time again tomorrow. Even if i, and i probably will, go to my basement studio right after work. But today I used the complete stencil from yesterday on a few other things. I put one on the Harmonic Vent and added a bunch of other paint to it and there was a nice dress jacket that was way too big for anyone just chillin on the back porch; so i cut off the sleeves and threw a stencil on the back of it. I also cut out a second part of the more complicated stencil. AND i made some spaghetti so i can finally not spend money on food tomorrow.
this bullshit is gonna be on the front of the tongue drum. The Cosmic Cry logo in the previous post is the back.
I don’t really know what kind of paper/whatever to make stencils out of... which is silly, cause I can just look it up, but it’s too late now. I drew the design on translucent paper, which i then glued to cardstock, which I felt was too thin. So i glued that to canvas paper. this isn’t my first stencil, but I think it’s my coolest and most successful one. i think i can make patches and shirts with this.
