Admittedly, my Dad is the strongest person I know....He went back to work 5 days after coming back from Vietnam After watching his best friends literally get blown up and killed right next to him....when I asked him about PTSD (which he 100% has) he said he never "bought into that idea because he felt it gave him an 'out' and excuse". Never once have I ever heard him complain about the ringing in his ears, night sweats,or the fact he can't sleep past 4am....Because in the wake of him getting spit on when he got home for fighting in a war our country wasn't "on-board" with...my Dad went back to work...5 days after watching his friends get blown-up...5 days after sleeping in dirt pits in snake infested jungles....after watching his friends be killed right next to him....my Dad went back to work and started building HIS American dream with gratitude in his heart that He made it out alive...and that he could create the life he wanted. "Dad, why don't you ever complain?".......Ashley, complaints are for just excuses disguised as a reasons you can't do something...and there isn't an excuse". To every person using this election as an excuse or distraction....it's time to get back to work and do it with excellence--- if my Dad can do it 5 days after 'nam....we can do it now.
