Adventures @moveu_official with new latex paint and Quadratus Lumborum... poor @moveushirtlessdude #guineapig lol😟🤣 . 💪MUSCLE FACTS💪 The quadratus lumborum is a muscle of the posterior abdominal wall. It is the deepest abdominal muscle and commonly referred to as a back muscle. The quadratus lumborum is a common source of lower back pain. Because the QL connects the pelvis to the spine and is helps with extending the lower back when bending both ways, the two QLs pick up the slack when the lower fibers of the erector spinae are weak or inhibited (as they often are in the case of constant seated computer use and/or the use of a lower back support in a chair). Constantly contracting these muscles while seated can overuse the QLs, resulting in muscle fatigue. A constantly contracted QL, like any other muscle, will experience decreased blood flow, and, in time, adhesions in the muscle may develop, which can lead to muscle spasms! Yikes! 😱 HEY LADIES! Did you know? Spasms of the QL may be associated with pain during menstruation. Stretching, and applying pressure to trigger points in the muscle may relieve symptoms.🤦🏼 . 🙊CONFESSION TIME:🙊 Digital art has always intimidated me. I've convinced myself that working with traditional art mediums is the only way to go. However, my work has challenged me to step it up and move into this new realm of digital art... so here's my first iPad sketch! So far I'm loving the @apple pen, it really is almost like a sketchbook. So crazy! I think this is really going to help me on my journey to relearning the muscle-scapes of the body again (yup that's another confession... I've been out of the anatomy art field since pretty much college, which was 7 years ago!)
