Anonymous said to glitterpiggies: I'm so sorry about your cavies. I had to put my girl down back in Sept. due to a bad bout of cancer. It's so hard losing a pet
Thank you. And you too <3
Anonymous said to glitterpiggies: I'm sorry to hear about your piggies. They were such a delight! Thank you for sharing them with us, and I hope your 2 bring you comfort, company, and joy.
Thanks so much <3
Anonymous said to glitterpiggies: so my little piggy babies love dandelion greens, but I was wondering can they eat the flower too ( I mean the yellow bloomed one, not the fuzzy stuff) ? and what other types of herbs are they allowed, I know about grass and parsley.
Hi! Yes they can eat the flower too :) They can also have basil, my girls’ always love that. Mint, cilantro, endives are popular too!
Anonymous said to glitterpiggies: hi i am getting a guinea pig what kind would u recommend ps your uinea pigs are so cute
Hi :) Make sure to get at least two, guinea pigs are social animals and they need guinea pig company otherwise they get very lonely. As for the kind of pig it really depends on what you like! Some long haired piggies will need more maintenance than short hair breeds, but check out your local shelter and see what they have available! Lots of shelters are closed at the moment so maybe send them an email about it? Good luck!
So this is Olga, she’s about 90% fluff and 10% pig
Molly, Olga & Frida.
The girls’ last group photo with Molly. She was such a great model haha, always posing. Olga was still really new in the group here, but they bonded really fast :)
Thanks everyone for your kind comments <3 It makes me very happy to know my piggies meant something to lots of people around the world.

Some sad updates
Hi everyone :)
I have some very sad news. In 2020 both Millie and Molly have passed away.
Millie passed away in February. She had really bad ovarian cysts, two tumors and was completely blind. She lived with this for a really long time! She was such a trooper! :) Eventually I made the decision to put her to sleep when she started showing signs of pain and discomfort. She was 6 years old and lived a happy life with her piggy friends. Molly and Frida were very sweet to her when she was blind in her last year <3
Unfortunately Molly passed away two weeks ago as well. It was very sudden. Within a few weeks she developed four very big tumors. She also developed a big wound between her ears that was very painful, after some lab work it turned out to be skin cancer. She passed away in my arms at the vet. She was 6 years old too, almost 6,5. Molly was never sick so to see her health decline that rapidly was really hard. Molly really was the most social guinea pig I ever had, so I miss her a lot. I’m sure she will be missed by lots of people on the internet too.
When they both passed away it felt so weird, Billy, Millie and Molly were such a team, and now they’re all gone. They all got to live very happy lives, they moved with me to three different houses and we lived in two countries. They all got to be very old piggies <3
No worries about Frida being left behind. After Millie passed away I was aware that Molly was quite old too, so to be sure I added Olga to the group. Seeing how quickly Molly passed away I’m glad I did. Frida and Olga have each other to keep company now :) The cage does seem very empty now without Millie and Molly. It feels so strange.
I will post some pictures, some cute posts to remember Millie and Molly, but also some pics of Frida and Olga.
Millie blending in with the pillows :)
Say hello to Frida! She’s a chunky guinea pig lady and the latest addition to the group.
Molly’s back on tumblr! Did you miss her?
Billy
After a long break from tumblr I’m coming to you with the sad news that Billy has passed away. She was almost 8 years old, and a very happy piggy til the end. When I went to check up on the girls in the morning I saw her lying on her side in the middle of the cage. This isn’t something she’d do, she’s always in a hidey house or in a corner, so I immediately knew something was up. She was still breathing, but not responding. I picked her up and laid her in my lap, and after a few minutes she stopped breathing. She passed away very peacefully and I am glad that I had the chance to be with her when it happened. She was very happy and active the day before (and ate all her veggies), so it was very sudden, but I’m glad she wasn’t ill and didn’t suffer. I buried her in the garden next to her sister, Billie, who passed away 3 years ago. It’s so strange to think that they’re both gone now..
Millie and Molly have been very quiet, but they are slowly getting back to their normal routine. I’m giving them lots of extra cuddles and veggies.
Love you Billy, rest in peace <3
Bell pepper time!
