Jaina is gone. The artifact weapon for Ashbringer says that Magni can forge it anew – Moira will be replaced as dwarf leader. Sylvanas is slated to die, supposedly.

That leaves Tyrande as the only female leader without an immediate threat to her.

They’ve had him silence her, but we don’t know if he’ll just replace her… yet.  Given the way things are shaping up? Probably will.

I’ve never understood the dislike for Malfurion. He tells Tyrande to be quiet when the world is ending so they can focus on saving the entire planet and people felt like he was some sexist dick?

He literally tells her to hush before she can say two words (the only word she gets out is “Malfurion”). She’s been equally focused on saving the world for that entire dungeon, and there’s absolutely no indication or reason to think that she’s about to go off track. But before she can say anything he makes it clear that whatever she had to say can’t possibly be as important as what he has to say - and then he asks where Illidan is. For all he knew, she was about to tell him that anyway, but he didn’t let her finish her fucking sentence.

Then he fucks off for 10000 years, and when he returns neatly slides into the seat of leadership Tyrande was keeping warm for him I guess (despite nelves being historically matriarchal). Despite the claims that they’re leading in tandem, she winds up the arm candy in her own leader portrait next to him, and yet if the Horde attacks Darnassus he won’t lift a finger to help her while she’s three feet away from him. The fucking pug in Stormwind is more devoted to the protection of Varian Wrynn than Malfurion is to his wife and queen.

Not only is Malfurion a sexist dick, he’s the most prevalent kind of sexist dick - the kind who doesn’t think he’s a misogynist, he’s just got Big Important Things to do and say, and if some girls get trampled while he’s doing his job well he didn’t mean to, but he has his reasons and he’s sure everyone should understand. The sexist dicks who’ve thrown Tyrande under the bus for him time and again sure do.
