Malotz Arykethen - a cartographer with an itch for travel. Heās a lover of people and cultures, and believes that each map he makes is nothing short of a love letter to a place heās visited. While in Agaras, he was forced to reconcile with his past when he found out his father was taken as a political prisoner, and eventually apologized for running away and completely disregarding his family. Malotz still doesnāt care for politics and makes a point to live off only what money is necessary, but the wounds associated with worrying his family were finally allowed to heal over.

Some Malotz doodles from last night! Little bit off model but yaknow I can't truthfully be bothered.
I imagine Scout spends an unreasonable amount of time preening that mop of a head Malotz calls hair. It must be maintenanced.
Some context for the second image, Malotz's patron is going to leave him in the middle of our new campaign, which takes place 15 years after the one I played him in. The Candle is an entity that really only takes one Champion (warlock) at a time, and it apparently has an incredibly important task that Malotz is not capable of performing. The Candle doesn't WANT to leave, but has to, and Malotz to that end is sad but understands. It's just rough losing a long time travel companion.
Scout is a familiar of the fae variety, but is not necessarily bound to Malotz at all. She came to him voluntarily, so she stays voluntarily, and doesn't have plans on leaving at all. Can't blame the boy for being a bit paranoid, though.

I've once again superimposed Malotz into a new setting and that setting is @mernolan's Everking, which is very irish folklore vibes. You can read about it here on her neocities! In this setting we've decided that Malotz is half fae and serves as either a filĆ or seanchaĆ for his nomadic community, as his fae-blood gifts serve him well for those roles. He wants to venture out and find his fae mother, who left after he was born, but gifted him with a guardian, Scout, as a way for him to be looked after in her absence. His duties to his home keep him from leaving, but perhaps with the right catalyst he can have his chance at it....
Been a while since I've had a moment to draw stuff for myself. Lots has happened in our campaign, I don't think I'll have the time to write any of it up, but Zeal got a new sword! Actually, it's Xan's greatsword, sized down and modified ever so slightly to become a rapier so he can actually use it. Zeal has more or less accepted that he wants to follow in Xan's footsteps in working with Lathander, and so his 'training' for it began (the boy also met Lathander, so that helps)
He's also taken some more sorcerer levels, so the gold is now bleeding into his feathers for real.
