Kaeya:
He cools down the teasing by a lot. He understands that it can get very irritable for someone that suffers the same way that you do.
He's very affectionate and loving, if not more so when he discovers you have depression.
His hugs and cuddles are the perfect amounts of loose, allowing you to shift and change position to your desire.
Tends to pester you a bit about talking about how you're feeling and what's on your mind. He'll pry it out of you eventually, slowly and gently.
Full of so much reassurance that he'll always be here for you. When he says these things, he always plants a soft kiss upon your forehead. He loves to dote on you.
When he comes home, he's like an excited puppy to see you. He makes you feel wanted and loved, it's hard to feel so upset around him when he's so joyous to be in your presence.
Every time he sees you, he gives you a not-so-random reminder of how much he loves you and how wonderful you are.
He tells you that he'll get you to believe him eventually.

you two would meet because of kaeya
the man told diluc he found an "amazing bard" that could play in his tavern
he was skeptical at first, but had no energy to shut kaeya down, so he agreed to let you play for his customers once
for those who play portable instruments, diluc was relieved that he didn't need to make any space for this new "bard" to perform
for those who play non-portable instruments, he was a bit pissed at first to find out he'd have to make some arrangements to his tavern's layout; but kaeya insisted on it anyways, meaning he didn't have a choice
โ your pov:
you, on the other hand, were panicking because kaeya had only casually told you about your performance at diluc's tavern a few days prior
"relax, (name). diluc's a nice man." "kaeya, every single word that comes out of that mouth of yours is a lie. i don't trust you on that one."
again, he insists. bribing you with free drinks after you perform
you couldn't miss that opportunity to waste kaeya's money.

.. he looked a bit disappointed meeting you at first
kaeya was ecstatic, introducing you to one another:
"so, here's y/n, our amaaaazing performer for tonight! and here's diluc, the ever so decent owner of this tavern." "i am right here, kaeya."
you were intimidated by diluc's cold stare, he looked like he was judging you from head to toe
"very well then. bard, i hope it does not trouble you to play just one song for tonight, i see that kaeya might've taken you here unwillingly."

but, you were afraid to say anything back, in fear that he'd kick you out, so you nodded and went up to the stage to play
โ after the performance
you went to the bar of the tavern to talk to kaeya, only to find out that he left in the middle of your performance
"kaeya, that son of aโ"
"don't worry, he left me a bag of mora and told me to make you a drink. what will you be having tonight?" diluc interrupted in a not-so-rude tone, which calmed you down somehow
you ordered a drink, and he served you in a matter of seconds
"your performance was quite entertaining, do you plan on coming back anytime soon?"
you almost spat out your drink
you two talked about it, trying to discuss details and arranging times for you to come back and play for him again
just as you two finally set a date and time, you finish your drink and you see that as your cue to leave
but just before you get to stand up, diluc places the same drink down for you again on the table
"this one's on me. please, stay a little longer. i quite enjoy your company tonight."

"that's a bit rude to ask out of the blue, isn't it ranboo?" you teased, but ranboo was persistent.
he looked at you in game, but you could feel him stare you down despite not even seeing his real face.
"since when was that a thing?" he questioned, and you just laughed.
"what's with my height, anyways?" you chuckled, "is chat gonna compare heights again?"

it started with a subgoal where you wouldve had to schedule a trip to visit ranboo at some random denny's parking lot.

and fortunately, that man was indeed ranboo.
