. Southern Asia has been hit especially hard this year by its annual tropical storms, and in those 3 countries alone, 1200 people have died and 41 million others are affected. Over 520,000 homes were damaged and over 77,000 were outright destroyed. 2/3 of the country of Bangladesh is flooded and there is concern that water-borne diseases will run rampant. The unusually heavy rains are expected to continue, which means little time for the people to recover from damage already done.
My own home country, Macau, had suffered from a particularly nasty storm a couple weeks ago that resulted in 12 deaths and harsh structural damage that will take a long time to repair. Hurricane Harvey wrecked havoc in Houston and a vicious storm is expected to arrive in Florida soon. I may be thousands of miles away, but it really pained me to hear about all the damage caused by these storms. But I haven’t heard many people talking about the monsoon in Southern Asia so I chose to bring a little more awareness to an issue that might not be too close to home, but have millions of lives in dire need of help.
I picked UNICEF because while no charity is perfect, I feel that I can trust this organization to send the money where I want it to go and expect the money to be used as they said. Please help me support people in need of flood relief from these nightmare storms hitting all over the globe this summer! Thanks everyone!

i sigh as i scroll though my apps "as long as you love me" by Justin Bieber playing in my headphones clicking on tumbler and scrolling though as mom and ash sit in the front talking im staying with my dads sister instead of my moms sister like river i scroll as mom drives a bit later i hit play on my justin playlist and lean back and close my eyes letting my head rest on my head rest as i listen calmly putting a hand over the fresh tattoo on my stomach that i got two weeks ago as payment for coming here i crack my eyes open to see the lights in gotham i watch with bored eyes sense we lived in la for years i seen lights before listening as "what do you mean" comes on as we pull up and i grab my bags and give my mom and big sis a kiss on the cheek and go in and go to the apartment and walk in auntie is at work as a nurse so she's always on call so i settle in myself i walk into my new room
damn this is cool i thought as i walk in and unpack then make me something to eat

i crawl into bed and sleep

i wake up and get up and get dressed in my uniform
and grab my bag and walk out texting my auntie im going to school and walked to school listening to "company" by justin
i get to school at 7:00am and lean on the gate waiting closing my eyes
7:11am.
i open my eyes to see a boy taller then me tan black hair and emerald green eyes they look uncaring yet curious i push off the wall and pass him walking into school in step to listening to "no pressure" by justin ignoring the boy not feeling up to talking or making friends right now

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mohamad S., who is facing one of the most challenging times of his life. Mohamad is 37 years old and left his homeland in 2015 in search of a safer and better future. He’s a kind, hardworking man, and his small family has always been his greatest priority.
Living abroad, Mohamad has recently endured unimaginable loss and financial strain. Amidst the ongoing conflict in his homeland, his mother passed away, leaving behind his sister and her five young children—the last remaining members of his immediate family.
As the situation worsened, Mohamad managed to help his sister and her children escape to safety in Egypt, covering their immediate needs and securing a temporary refuge for them. Since then, he has been fully responsible for providing everything they need to survive during this transition.
In his efforts to support his family and cope with this devastating loss, Mohamad has found himself deeply in debt. To make matters even more difficult, he recently underwent knee surgery, which limits his ability to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has made it even harder for him to manage his financial responsibilities and the pressing need to provide his family with a stable future.
Mohamad is now working to bring his sister and her five children to join him in Belgium, where he hopes they can find stability and opportunity after all they’ve endured. This transition, however, requires significant resources that he is currently unable to meet alone.
For privacy reasons, we are not sharing Mohamad’s full name, as he has chosen to keep his identity discreet. While he initially refused the idea of asking for help, I couldn’t stand by and watch him struggle alone. I insisted on doing this for him because he deserves a chance to overcome these challenges.
Your contribution will help Mohamad repay the debt incurred during this difficult time, cover ongoing living expenses for his family, and assist with the costs involved in bringing them safely to Belgium.
Mohamad has been a good friend of mine for years, and I’ve always admired his resilience and generosity. Any support, no matter the size, will make an incredible difference in helping Mohamad and his family rebuild their lives after these painful experiences.

Dick practically dragged himself into the apartment, he thought he was hiding it well but he wore the sadness, stress and anxiety unmistakably on his face.
He was the first son, the example for all his other brothers. He felt such a pressure to be the ideal hero from everyone around him. Dick knew it was him just being a perfectionist probably but that pit in his chest wouldn't leave that easily.
He had found you in the kitchen making dinner. It smelled sweet but also so savory, his stomach was just aching for food. Your little bare feet padded against the ground as you moved around the kitchen.
"Hey, I'm home." Dick states as his arms moved around you from behind, you could just feel the tension rolling off him and you hands laces with one of his as you turn around in his arms.
"Rich, what's wrong?" It was exceedingly obvious something was wrong. The burner was turned off so you didnt have to worry about burning dinner and even if so he was more important.
"Do you...I- I feel like...Am I a disappointment? I fucked up tonight on patrol...Bruce sent me home early. I just..." He trailed off and was clearly beating himself up.
"Baby, I'm sure he's not disappointed." You attempted to reassure your sweet man, your hands had to reach up to touch his face because he was quite a bit taller than you. You closed the gap between you to by pulling his head down to your shoulder so you could hug and comfort him easier.
He hugged you and just burried his face in your neck, bending over like this was quickly uncomfortable so he picked you up and set you on the counter to help level the height difference out.
"What if I mess up and someone dies?"
"Baby, you are probably the most perfect and skilled in your family and you almost never mess but My Love...you are still entirely a human. Your humanity is what makes you so efficent and good at what you do...Jason and Damian dont have that, Tim bounces off the walls like a crack addict and Bruce often cares more about vengence than anything else. You're as close to perfect as perfect can be...If you were anymore perfect I'd have to dump you cause I'd feel unworthy." You joke sincerely at the end there to try to bring his mood up a bit.
"I made this like Japanese Curry stuff, do you wanna try it together?" You asked him trying to get his mind off all this and cause you knew he hadn't eaten and that probably wasn't doing him any good.
"It smell's amazing, Honey. Whats in it?" Dick mumbled into your shoulder, he was very hungry but he was so prideful.
"Just like steak pieces, carrots, potatoes and it's got some rice I'm gonna pair with it."
Dick moves out of your way and lets you prepare the food, he's starving but he won't tell you that. Once the plates were down and both of you sat at the little kitchen table you had, you held his hand with one of yours as the both of you ate.
The gesture of just holding his hand was just gentle reassurance and as his stomach was filled the worries and anxiety slipped from his mind, plus he'd never had this food and it was very quickly a favorite of his. Turns out his anxiety was just him being hungry and a bit of a perfectionist when it came to himself.
Okay, but imagine this isn’t Robin Tim. This is taking-sneak-photos-of-Batman Tim, and Dick has caught onto that and needs help with a case. Since B won’t help, he’s willing to call in a kind of… consultant.
Tim’s job is to set up out of the way on a convenient rooftop to let Nightwing know where the bad guys are and to take photos of their faces for B’s records and the cops
