Hello tumblr. My name is Adam Maitland! I live in Connecticut and am married to the love of my life Barbara. 💕 I also have three… housemates? Yeah, i’d call them housemates, Charles, Delia and Lydia Deetz.

He/Him. Born 1988, died 2019, 31 forever. Ghost, but I promise i'm nice. I love my house, woodworking, spiders, my lovely wife and Harry Belafonte music. I don’t like the Deetz’s choice of decor or cotten candy (I find it too sweet!)

OOC: //Yeah this is an Adam Maitland (musical version) roleplay blog cause I really like Adam Maitland… Occasionally suggestive and such posts will be tagged with #suggestive. Asks can be whatever you want pretty much, IDM. I will respond in-character by default though so please just clarify or make it obvious i’m meant to respond OOC if needed! ^^ OOC text will have // in front of it and be smaller. Also FYI i’m pretty bad at roleplay… i’m still kinda new to it! I’ve tried to before but I get nervous plus I have some… not great memories about roleplay so be patient as my skills improve! Adam what do you like about woodworking?

I’ve been waiting for this question! There’s so much I love about woodworking… Oh so much… It can be really relaxing sometimes. Recently I created this shelf for Lydia’s room cause she wanted a space to display some of her things, and there was this little bat design on each side of the shelf; it was so relaxing just chipping away at the design, slowly carving out each little detail!

I also love the feeling of just being able to say “I made this”, y’know? I think a lot of creatives feel like, whether it be painting or sculpting or any other kind of craft. It’s just such an amazing feeling being able to see something you poured so much time and energy into get completed. And it’s great especially cause with woodworking what you make isn’t just a pretty decoration, oh no no. You get use out of it! I feel so proud whenever something that I made, I made, with my own blood sweat and tears actually get used!

Oh gosh i’m rambling again, aren’t I? Barbara says I do that a lot. I’m sorry, I just get so passionate sometimes!

I’m back! Hey everyone. I hope you didn’t miss me too much! Sorry for my absence, Beetlejuice may or may not have burnt down the house when trying to use the oven, and we may or may not have had to deal with the damages for a couple months. Y’know I was just more focused on that.

Well, not legally or biologically of course, but in a sense she kinda is! Me and Barbara help raise her and take care of her like she’s our own kid, so it’s kinda like she has 4 parents!

Hello, Beetlejuice. I didn’t realize you had any interest in my projects! Well, currently i’m making a little wooden horse statue for Barbara. They’re her favorite animal! Just don’t tell her though, it’s gonna be a surprise!

Well, it’s a VERY complicated process! Theres lots of planning involved, you need to cut out crude shapes with wood and then carve and sand the cut wood into the right shape with the right details, which is a very long and tedious process. You’ll also often have to use wood-glue to attach different piece of wood and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah…
