Thank you for all the support you’ve shown this blog! I’ve got a few messages similar to this and I wanted to express how happy they make me.

I’ve decided to keep working on this blog as well as my other one, though I’m going to take a short break for the time being. I have a plot in mind for this particular blog now and I’m looking forward to exploring it once I come back ^^

I’m not the best with words so I’ll cut this short here, but thanks again for all the kind words and encouragement! I’ll do my best to keep this blog active from here on out.

“When parenting, it is important to establish a strong bond with your child. You want them to be able to come to you when they are in trouble, but you shouldn’t coddle them to the point where they become dependent on you. This type of nurture should be started while the child is young, though it’s never too late to enforce this behavior well into the teen years. Try spending time with them and doing your best to pay attention to the things your child has to say or the things they’re interested in. Children are not pets, and halfhearted attention isn’t good enough, they will notice.

Another thing to remember is that mistakes are a part of learning, so you should never try to steer your child down the path of perfection, as this will only cause bad behaviors and poor mental health down the line. This isn’t to say you can’t step in when the mistakes are potentially life ruining, but a parent should always be around to cheer up their child and encourage them to keep trying and that failure is perfectly okay.

Sometimes children need space, and that is normal. It is never advised to monitor your child constantly or force your supervision onto everything your child does, this will only increase their distrust in you and make them even more secretive. If your child displays antisocial behavior, attempt to broach the subject gently, don’t demand anything from them. Sometimes, children are too embarrassed and or scared to ask for help, so it is up to adults to notice these things first and take action.

Children are young and impressionable, and often don’t know any better unless they’re taught right from wrong. Regardless, this doesn’t excuse bad parenting. It is not the child's fault if they do something wrong without knowing it-- it is the parents who must teach them how to function in an ever changing society. You must explain to your child when they have done something wrong, and never encourage bad behavior or get defensive just because the child ‘didn’t know any better’. Lack of discipline will only lead them into a mindset of believing they can do no wrong, and that you will pardon any wrongdoings.

On the topic of discipline, you should never ever strike your child. It is often believed that physical punishment is the only way to make children learn not to do bad things, but this is inherently false. Depending on the age of the child, many will not understand the connection between being hit and the thing they are being punished for, and will only register the pain. They will begin to see you as a source of pain, and not trust you or go to you when they have gotten into trouble as they grow older. It has also been noted that children who were beaten in the past often grow up believing violence is a solution to their problems, and will begin to abuse those in their lives that anger them.

“When it was decided Mirai would be my daughter, my coding was rewritten to include her into my database of relatives. But evidently, they tried to use a shortcut for Kanon, and the result ended up being that she short-circuited due to conflicting signals.

Thanks to our companies incompetence, I had to release without Kanon, and I’m expected to take care of Mirai alone seeing as the co-parenting plan also fell through. It hasn’t been easy in the slightest, but once Kanon is here everything will be much better.

I think Mirai will enjoy having an aunt to look after her. She seems a bit lonely with just me to play with.” - Anon.

After a year and a half long absense, Anon and Mirai will be returning to their blog to clear out the remaining asks in the inbox. Whether or not they will stick around beyond that is a question still pending, but for now, hopefully they will integrate back into the swing of things without issue.

Mama is really good at dancing! She always lets me make up my own dances from time to time, it’s super fun! - Mirai

Mirai has an abundance of energy. Dancing is just about the only thing she’s willing to sit still for long enough to learn the basics, and even then she’s always trying to add in rotations or move into the next step before the tempo can catch up. It’s a refreshing change from Kanon’s try or die dance sessions at least, ah-ha ^^ - Anon

Anon and Mirai are now open to asks, so feel free to send one their way. They’re equipped to answer even the most confusing of human inquiries regarding family, as they’ve been programmed to perfectly replicate a normal functioning home environment.

Having said that, these two are 100% safe and following the laws of robotics, so there should be no cause for concern.
