I see that some people have actually started asking questions on this blog and would love to answer them soon! When I started this and didn't really get any questions I kinda lost steam quickly, hopefully the questions will inspire me and get me excited about Dan again. :)

So, I decided to draw Dan and Chris listening to music that reminds me of them. I just imagine Dan listens to like music with like a lot of emotion behind it, while Chris just kind of likes really chill music and nostalgic kind of music. This is also the first time I really drew Elise. I didn’t know how I felt about her at first, because literally the show uses her as, the most basic “very strong woman” stereotype, which I guess is to be expected from the time the show was made, but you know what I’m just gonna take her and change her into an actual person rather than a stereotype. I also didn’t like the show’s sexist jokes that Dan said sometimes. It made me feel like I wasn’t suppose to be watching. They were just the very basic jokes about the fact she is a girl and what not, which I know are jokes but I still don’t like them. Also, when I was looking up stuff to draw her, her wiki literally says she has a nice big butt. I would use that to describe Dan’s ass more lol, but that’s just me.

Here is a compilation of my Dan vs. The Witch comic I’ve been working on.

I abandoned it for class work and what not, but I’m trying to draw more fun things so I’m starting it up again.

Excuse how bad the first few are. I originally planned to put little effort into it, but then I was really unhappy with the look of it all and now I’m trying to make it pretty and legible. (My handwriting sucks btw, should I just type all the words??)

I made mood boards for Dan and Chris.

They are just made up of some stuff that reminds me of the character and also some stuff that help me to redesign them.

I imagined Dan as some kind of like goth grunge guy who is like cringe but in an endearing kind of way. Like he plays Minecraft, he put on make up expertly, he collects knives, and he acts childish. But he doesn’t give a fuck what other people think (on the outside, but sometimes he does actually care but he’ll never let anyone know).

For Chris I just wanted to make like a soft comfort character for Dan. Similarly to how Dan is my comfort character. I just imagine Chris as Dan’s comfort character. He’s soft like a bear and reminds you of stuffed animals. I picked things that have a gentle mood. Pleasant colors pastel colors and some kidcore colors that are nostalgic. I wanna try to associate him with a toy bear, since it’s very obvious that Dan really likes bears. It is funny that Chris can actually turn into a bear and Dan’s favorite animal is a bear, so I just wanted to treat him kind of like Dan’s teddy bear, cute, cuddly, and comfortable.

The two drawings are also based off the kill and live memes.

Happy ❤️LATE ❤️Valentine’s Day....

My next post will be an introductory post for this new Dan Vs. ask blog I am starting. I really shot myself in the foot not preparing these for Valentine’s Day but I really hope you like them even though they are super duper late. I’ve been way to obsessed over Dan for a while now so I figured I’d make him a blog as an excuse to draw him more. If you already have questions for him go ahead and dm me!! :3

Can’t wait to draw Dan being gay and doing crime.
