It happened on a day like any other, people going through life, birds singing songs, one-footed pigeons picking at leftovers,
All was well!
Until The sky cracked open and started vomiting nightmares
But even in the End Times, the Fates were kind, because along side the monsters from beyond,
shards of magic rained
Granting any who contacted one
a power to help them survive
in their new chaotic world

[The Artificer herself, believe it or not, normally presents as a mote of light similar to the sparkles you drew. She is comprised of a dense orange core, with orangish-yellow mist encircling it. However, being that this is an apocalypse, she’s been able to get her tendrils on a lot of metal, to her delight. So, she has fashioned herself a body akin to the terror birds, just mechanical rather than living. It’s smaller than a terror bird, being no bigger than a falcon. She flutters down from the trees where she rested, coming to sit at Roman’s feet.]

Y’know I thought perfect perception/memory recall or other social powers wouldn’t make too much of a difference in this kind of situation but actually, Logan you’re a genius. You’ll never get lost and you’ll know exact info too.
Patton you can help the emotional stability of the group. And if you can read Logan’s mind you can act as a secondary to him a little? Idk

L- People tend to prioritize physical strengths in dire situations but without the knowledge in how to apply that strength it’s practically useless!
L- What plants are good to eat, how to identify and prepare them, first aid, knowing where you want to go and how to get there- basic survival not even mentioning knowing the habits of your enemy and how to pick your battles!
L- knowledge = preparation = success!

P- hey I probably could help a ton with regulation! Now that i can project feelings instead of just reading them-

P- Oh we met in college! The plan was to share a house till we paid everything off but no one ended up moving out!
P- we were getting lunch at Romans favorite cafe when Everything went down
(Hello! To the characters, askers are usually little balls of light they perceive as a type of small fairy- like a pixy! So far they’re the only creature in this apocalypse that isn’t dangerous)
Sparkles is fine if that’s easier. Are you gonna try to fight the monsters right now? Or look for other survivors? Or do you have a place you wanna head to that might be safe? Sorry, I just have so many questions! ✨
L- Well I doubt human cannibals would be a concern this early on, and we should do our best to simply avoid all the monsters we can-
L- finding other survivors would be paramount to rebuilding society, so we should get a move on.

L- of course, we can start our search for others on the direction of your families home, Pattons should be on the way

R- oh yeah! It was a very hectic time—
L- 16. Not including ours, so more accurately at least 19 fell in total.

L- to put it simply, yes.
L- When i got my ability I looked up and counted 4, before remembering 3 fell before ours did.
L- On the way to my Library I spotted 3 more, though I might have missed some with all the buildings,
L- 6 more trickled down during our hike out away from the city so, in conclusion, at least 19.
There may be no logical explanation but at least you have perfect memory and perception right? I wonder if you all have secondary powers or other abilities you could unlock from practice?
L- Indeed, and Patton has already discovered how to put feelings into his words along with his mind/emotion reading when holding eye contact.
L- Romans conjuring ability seems infinitely versatile but its sure to have more faults than just being inedible-

L- looks like someone was so wrapped up in all the Magic & Monsters that he forgot this is real life and not an Anime.
L- as for the rest of the world, we don’t know much but the internet has gone down which is probably not a good sign, so until further notice im assuming this is a full scale collapse.
L- My plan is to find us a nice big group of survivors and/or an easily defendable home base so we may begin to rebuild society.
Soo... did getting the powers hurt? I am intrigued on if being stabbed through the head by magic actually hurted or not.
