Tonio makes Rohan food whenever he comes and does this but rather than eating it, Rohan intently sketches it until it becomes cold and Tonio is always left as boo boo the fool because he will not learn from this experience and keep trying to get Rohan to eat healthy holy shit this man does not leave his house he’s got like 20 different vitamin/mineral deficiencies]

Tonio’s Caprese Salad [200 Follower Celebration]
Well, as promised, I decided to task myself in making Tonio’s caprese salad that’s apparently so good you will rip a chunk out of your shoulder.
Araki was nice enough to give us the actual recipe. Unfortunately, I forgot two ingredients: seaweed and lemon juice. Whoopsie.
Step 1: Acquire Ingredients
Thankfully there is an Italian grocery store chain around the corner from where I live. I will be using buffalo mozzarella for this recipe since Tonio is Napolitan and I figured that would be his preferred kind (in retrospect this was a bad idea as it is overly soft, hence why it’s used for pizza)

Step 2: Prepare the dressing
Well, here’s everything. Please ignore my ugly house and the bad lighting in my kitchen. Like an idiot, I completely forgot to get a lemon and some nori (as I don’t know where to find fresh seaweed and I’m afraid of the local Asian grocery store)
Finely mince the anchovies fillet, mix with about 70ml of olive oil, 10ml of white wine vinegar, finely minced fresh basil, and salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: Prepare the Tomato and Mozzarella
Make sure you get a nice ripe tomato and that you wash it before preparing it. When you prepare the mozzarella, it will be very soft and damp, so make sure to use a sharp knife and not press down on the cheese.
Step 4: Plate up according to the picture,
dressing with basil, and serving with a side of toast (or some seed rye in my case because that’s the only bread I had)
I think that’s a pretty good comparison! Sadly I don’t have any fine china to plate with but I think I did pretty well!
Make sure to eat a bit of tomato and cheese in the same bite and use that bread to soak up the rest of that good good dressing!
