The dome is located on an island where the lines of human and Pokémon are blurred, some children are born with pokemon features and some pokemon have more human-like features and human level intelligence. It is unknown what causes these features but the lab is working hard to understand why these events occur only here.

How long have people lived on the island? And how common are anomalies?

❣ Only 3 generations, my mom's parent's were the first generation born on the island, and the "anomalies" get more common every year with each birth. My family is the only one on the island where both parents and every child have the "anomalies". All in different degrees, though, my older sister is thoroughly mixed but leans more human and our little siblings aren't old enough to tell quite yet. We're all dreading the whirlipede stage. that was... not fun for me in particular. There's a reason my sister decided my nickname was "Scoliosis".

What moves can humans learn? Also do humans have a base type or would they be typeless?

🐾 From what I can tell, any kind of martial arts is considered a move if given enough force, along with bite and scratch. Not an expert on this, though. I personally know bite, babydoll eyes, and quick attack but that all took a lot of training.

🍂 I really want a new outfit but not even the tailors here know what to do with my body considering my size and the amount of fur. Scorch offers help but she only knows how to work with leather and I'd like something more flowy than that. Does anyone have suggestions?

To eucalyptus, do you find traversing the island hard as an eevee? Also how do the anomalies work?

🐾 Considering the only eevee parts of me are claws, the legs, a little tail, and the neck fluff, very easy. Even if I'm taller than normal, I'm nowhere near the tallest resident so I don't have a hard time fitting in unlike Silver and Scorch. Blizzard just doesn't care and I respect that.

Can I ask how intelligent a pokemon has to be to not get eaten?

🍂 Typically, in farms pokemon are tested the year before, half a year before, and day of to see if their intelligence is higher than normal, normal usually being roughly the equivalent to 3-5 year old humans, any higher and they are sent to our lab, if not, they are prepped for meals. We would get food elsewhere but very few regions trade with us, and I alone eat enough for a single family, it just wouldn't work.

Can humans evolve if they can learn moves?

🍂 Nope, single stage species! Excluding the few anomalies and well, our island as a whole.

Wait, If Nurse joys and officer jennys are pokemon what types are they? Cos I would have assumed maybe normal fairy and normal fighting?

🍂 You are correct, actually! Before fairy types were defined, Joys were leaning on being classified as normal/psychic!

Fairy types are very interesting, they used to either be classed as normal or psychic before it was defined. I think Eucalyptus wants to evo into a sylveon too, unsure how that would work.

Oh, by the way, fun fact: humans can technically learn moves, they're just a little different from pokemon moves.

🐾 Well, yeah! They're pokemon that mimic humans for some reason or another, including a single, ever changing stage. Legally, they're the same as humans for various reasons, mostly because everyone would agree it'd be uncanny to see what looks like a human going into a pokeball and the sophont status.

They do have the same average level of intelligence as humans, and they tend to go into jobs that involve pokemon and humans as that's really the only one everyone expects them in. Same for Officer Jenny, actually, they're like sister species as far as I know. A friend of mine rambles to me about this stuff daily.

Fun fact, both have bits under their uniform that separate them from humans, Jennys have claws for example!

It's really interesting, especially when they're not forced day one to fit into a certain role like on our island(this is mostly because a good chunk of the island's population are also sophot pokemon by chance and its kinda rude to tell them that one can only do x or y), the Joy that lives closest to us is a bike riding butch lady(I like her a lot) and me and her Jenny roommate have our weekly tea sessions over at Scorch's parent's Cafe! Very fun.

Speaking of Scorch, I wonder what I'll evolve into, never touched a stone and I'd rather keep it that way but...

🐾 Trying to get new clothes from off island is such a pain, I always need alterations to fit me. WHY DO MY STOCKINGS NEED TO BE ADJUSTED WHEN IT SAID ONE SIZE FITS ALL??

No shop off island has clothes for eevee legs :(

In my parent's cafe, and my little siblings keep bothering me for my pancakes, which, mind you, my mum made for me herself, and she offered to make them some but they refused. They're only four, I can't be mad but I am annoyed.

To Scorch, how’s life on the island? Do you have any hobbies if you don’t have work and if so what are they?

❣ Its always been nice, I did leave for vet training for a few years, but I much prefer the island, mostly because of the stares and the "cosplay" accusations off island. The amount of times I had to get a friend to share notes because some other student said I was "distracting" them with my "weird pokemon cosplay" makes me want to go feral and go find somewhere to be territorial or something.

Anyhow, my hobbies mostly include reading and people watching at my parent's cafe, they have a pokemon cafe, and some pokemon stay to find a trainer. My little siblings like getting bites of food from customers acting like one of the aforementioned pokemon. They look so much more like Venipedes than I had as a kid which helps. I see them more than my older sister, who's doing good in this "underground music" thing.

🍂 Eucalyptus and I are lab partners with Scorch and Blizard being non professor assistants for various things around the lab! The island we live on is very strange, for one, I'm a giant talking eevee that can pin an arcanine in five seconds flat. Eucalyptus on the other hand, is mostly human, Scorch looks like someone put a human costume on a scoliopede and Blizard is a different story being from off island.

This island somehow makes Pokémon more humanlike and humans more like Pokémon, the latter more than former. The oldest one of these humanlike Pokémon that we know of is a toeterra we house in our lab as she doesn't want to pay taxes named Willow! She's quite old but loves her weekly walk down to the shore to see her girlfriend. I sometimes tag along because they have interesting stories.
